Don't want to face the truth: Chapter 1

In pop village, everything was back to normal. The trolls were singing and dancing and hugging as always, since they were finally safe from the hungry Bergens. And this happened because the happiest and craziest troll ever born had the idea to befriend them. And it actually worked. This troll, named Poppy, is now the queen of troll village and-

Poppy: "Uh....Branch you forgot something."

Branch: "No I didn't. That's what the scrapbook says."

Poppy: "Then you must have gone blind, because it clearly mentions that this troll that you're talking about has done something more important than all that."

Branch: "What?"

Poppy: "Helped a friend get back his colors. But who might that troll be?"

The little trolls that Branch was reading the scrapbook to all laughed at the cute comment and yelled in unison : "BRANCH."

Poppy: "ON HIM." she yelled and all the trollings jumped on Branch throwing him on the floor. Then, the bell rang meaning that their class was over. The trollings left Branch on the floor and started running towards the door of the pod.

Poppy: "Don't forget to take your bags."

Once they left, Poppy turned her gaze on Branch who had just gotten up from the floor.

Poppy: "Thank you for coming today. At first I didn't believe that you would come."

Branch: "Yeah, at first I thought of it too. But, I promised you that I would try to be a better troll."

Poppy: "So does that mean that you will come to the party tonight?"

Branch: "Let's not push it to the limit."

Poppy: "Ok I won't insist. But, in case you change your mind...."

Poppy took out of her hair a card that she had made for him. Branch took the card off her hand and opened it slowly, because he knew that Poppy had obviously covered it in glitter. And he was right. Glitter spilled all over his clothes and soft music started playing. Poppy knew that she had to keep it cool with the glitter, since the last time she invited Branch to her party, her card ended up like trash.

Poppy kept playing with her fingers, while waiting for Branch's response.

Branch: "Thank you." He said and smiled at her. Poppy smiled back and Branch started walking out of the door. When Branch left, Poppy leaned against the door and was watching Branch getting out of her sight. She was extremely relieved and grateful that Branch didn't refuse to come or trashed her card. That was a big step to their relationship...... relationship like friendship.....not romantic......type.....

Branch returned to his bunker, got out of the elevator and headed towards his room. He opened a cupboard and placed Poppy's card in it, along with every single card Poppy had given him since they were kids.

After a few hours, it was time for the party. The trolls were having this party to celebrate their freedom, but that was not the only reason. Poppy got dressed as fast as she could. She wore a really cute white dress that was covered in colorful flowers. In the meantime, Branch was still inside his bunker, thinking about Poppy's invitation. He promised her that he would be a better troll. So, he got out of bed and started getting ready.

Branch got out of his bunker, and the first thing he noticed was colorful and bright lights, that could definitely blind you, but nothing was as blinding as Poppy. Branch noticed Poppy in the centre of the dance floor laughing with her friends. Poppy noticed Branch standing near a tree looking around like he had just got lost.

Poppy: "Branch!!! You came!!!"

Branch: "I came."

Poppy: "That means that you liked my card." Branch didn't respond he just smiled awkwardly at her. Poppy noticed that Branch was feeling like a fish out of water, so she took his hand into hers and led him to the dance floor. The snack pack was as surprised as Poppy was, to see Branch on the dance floor, but that didn't stop them from laughing and having fun with him.

Suddenly, King Peppy appeared on the big mushroom and asked DJ to turn off the music for a minute. Once all eyes were on him, King Peppy asked Poppy to join him. Poppy got on the big mushroom and stared at her father with confusion.

King Peppy: "I'm so happy and grateful that we are all here today, celebrating our freedom and having fun like we used to. I'm also very excited about the fact that one of our members is back into our community. Our dear Branch."

Everyone turned their gaze on Branch and started applauding. Branch was in pure shock and turned red.

King Peppy: "I'm also very proud of my daughter, who saved us all, and now is gonna be our new queen."

Everyone started applauding again and cheering for Poppy, especially Branch, but when everyone became silent again, to let King Peppy finish, a troll was still applauding on his own. And that troll was...
