You are my destiny: Chapter 9

Three hours. Three hours until the wedding. Three more hours of worrying about her soon to be husband. Were they enough? Could they break the spell before it was too late? Poppy and Branch's brothers had started their way towards bird cliff.

Bruse: "We need to put him into slumber."

John Dory: "🎶 Twinkle twinkle little star🎶"

Branch made a really loud sound that made pretty clear that he was definitely not entertained.

Clay: "He's not sleepy at all!!!!"

John Dory: "What if we cover his eyes?"

Poppy: "No!!! He's a baby."

Viva: "Poppy, we have no other option. He doesn't wanna sleep."

Poppy: "Just let me do it." She laid her hands over Floyd and he placed him on top off her. Poppy sang softly to Branch one of their favourite songs. True he wasn't sleepy, but something in the way that Poppy was holding him made him relax and eventually he fell asleep. "See guys. You always worry something's gonna go.....Ahhh..." A bird flew over their heads in one swift moment and Poppy almost dropped baby Branch. "..... wrong. Don't worry."

Meanwhile in Pop village

Barb: "Do you think they found the cure? Shouldn't they have found it by now?"

Smidge: "Let's give them more time."

Barb: "How could we possibly keep everyone waiting even more? They're worrying about the soon to be married couple."

Smidge: "At least Creek isn't around. If he shows up I will-"

Barb: "Do you need help with whatever you're thinking right now?"

Satin: "Girls, where is Poppy? We have to get her prepped."

Chenille: "And Guy Diamond is looking for Branch, did you see him?"

Smidge: "Don't worry, you'll find them."

Barb: "Or not."

Satin and Chenille didn't understand what Barb was talking about so they left and continued searching for Poppy. Both Poppy and Branch had disappeared and the wedding was in two hours. They just had to keep everyone busy to give Poppy more time.

Creek, of course was watching Poppy's every move. He knew that they found the cure of his spell. But, he was always crazy prepared, and he had sent Poppy a letter that was totally going to bring down her positivity.

Back to the others

Viva: "Poppy, we're dying back here."

Poppy: "Come on guys, it's for Branch."

John Dory: "I feel like I'm gonna pass out."

Clay: "Don't you dare faint on me."

Poppy: "Oh....Branch's up. He's opening his eyes."

A really huge bird flew towards them and it looked like he was holding something in his mouth. He threw a piece of paper down to them and Bruse grabbed it.

Bruse: "It looks like a letter."

Floyd: "What is it saying?"

My dear queen,
I've been watching your every move. I know what you're trying to do, but it's not gonna work. I knew that you would have found out about the flower that could bring your lover back to normal, so I destroyed it. You have no other option than to surrender and finally realise who you truly belong with.
I'll see you at the wedding.
Creek.

Clay: "He's lying right?"

Poppy: "He....did....what? MY SOON TO BE HUSBAND TURNED INTO A BABY THE DAY OF OUR WEDDING, WE FINALLY FOUND SOMETHING THAT COULD HELP HIM, WE CLIMBED UP HERE AND WE'RE LITERALLY DYING AND THAT WAS ALL FOR NOTHING???? AND WE ONLY HAVE TWO MORE HOURS OR LESS LEFT."

Viva: "Poppy, you just have to accept the fact that the flower's gone. We'll postpone the wedding and we'll find another way."

Poppy: "NO!!!!!" She yelled and took a look at Branch who was still wrapped around her arms. Tears streamed down her face and she started crying loudly."I promised him. I promised him that I would let nothing happen to him. I should have protected him like the way he protects me. Everything's my fault. Like always." She placed Branch on the ground facing her. "I'm so sorry Branch. I'm so sorry." Even more tears rolled down her cheeks and fell to the ground. "I promise that I won't let you down again. I won't give up on you. I'll figure something out."

Branch's siblings and Viva were staring at Poppy with sympathy and awe in their eyes. They knew that their feelings for each other were so strong and pure, but this.....this is the most true love. John Dory noticed something slightly glowing in the gap between Poppy and baby Branch and propped Floyd with his elbow. Floyd looked confused at first by his brothers action but he eventually noticed it too.

Floyd: "What the hell???"

Floyd's words caught everyone's attention pretty quickly and the glow became even bigger and bigger. Eventually, it became so big that could definitely blind them. On the gap that was separating Poppy and Branch, a blue and red petal arrised from the ground.

Bruse: "Poppy, your tears...."

Poppy: "What?"

Clay: "They fell on this petal, which clearly belongs to the loveless flower."

Floyd: "Creek must have pulled his petals off over here."

John Dory: "Feed it to him. Quickly, we're running out of time."

Poppy took the petal from the ground and fed it to baby Branch. At first nothing was happening. That was really concerning for everyone. But then, in less than a nanosecond, Branch started changing. Thankfully, back to normal. Older, taller and really handsome, like she remembered he was. Her sweet and loving boyfriend and in a few hours her husband.

Poppy: "Branch?"

Branch: "What just happened to me?"

Poppy: "Do you remember anything that happened today?"

Branch: "Uhh....no. Why? How did we even get here?"

Poppy: "We'll explain everything once we get back."

Clay: "Then, we have to leave now because we only have ONE HOUR LEFT."

They started running off the mountain, but Branch grabbed Poppy's hand and stopped her.

Branch: "There is one thing that I remember....." Poppy's eyes found his and smiled warmly at him. ".....that I missed you."

Poppy: "I missed you too." Branch grabbed her by her waist and made their lips touch. They were literally craving for one another. Once they parted for air, they noticed everyone else's gaze that was on them.

Bruse: "WE HAVE TO GO."

Branch ran up to his brothers and hugged them tightly and they left all together to get back to Pop village.
