As the supposed judge announces the beginning of the hunter exam, I have a rush of adrenaline and I feel goosebumps all over me.

"Looks like I can forget the idea of becoming a rich hunter... Since I definitely don't want to die again, I'll have to pass the hunter exam first try!"

The purple haired man explains the dangers of taking the hunter exam and proposes hesitant applicants to leave by the back door. But no one budges.

"...Right then all 405 applicants will participate in phase one!" The supposed examiner raises his leg and starts speed walking in a strange way. Everyone starts to follow him, I walk between Gon and

"Yeah I didn't think anyone is going to leave, but I hoped a few would duck out at least." Leorio comments.

The examiner starts fastening the pace. People around us starts running. Our group notices as Leorio is the first to react "Woah what?" "I think the people at the front started running." Gon comments "Well maybe they are a bit impatient who knows?" I joke. "It's because he picked up the pace." Kurapika points out.

"How rude of me, I neglected to introduce myself, my name is Satotz, the examiner for the first phase of the exam." He starts "It's my job to lead you to the second phase."

"I always asked myself, how can this man even talk? He doesn't have a mouth...Or does he?"

"Second phase? What about the first?" The bald ninja asked.

"The first phase is already underway." Satotz replies.

This announcement seems to put everyone on edge. Murmurs between the participants can be heard as I comment "What is this guy on about?" 

"I'm as confused as you are." Kurapika replies.

"Same." Leorio adds

"The first phase is quite simple, all you have to do is follow me to the second phase. So try to keep up."  The examinator explains.

"Follow you? So that's it nothing else?" Aang from the last air bender looking ass dude asked.

"That's right. But I can't tell you where and when you must arrive, you need only to follow me." The examinator replied.

"I see how it is." Kurapika points out

"This exam is weird." Gon comments with a pretty confused expression

"Agree. And seriously, why does he run like that?" I add

"I'm asking myself the same thing. About what the examiner said, I'm sure this is just a basic endurance test. That's easy, keep running pal, I'm right behind ya."

It's been an hour since we've been running as I was running next to Gon and Leorio. "Hey [Y/N], about earlier, you know the gunshot." Leorio starts. "Uh yeah what about it?" I answer.

He seems pretty hesitant to ask the question "Do you know the person that shot you? I mean, that lame excuse she give you about 'accidently' shooting you wasn't really believable, maybe she didn't like you or something." 

"Leorio is right, that was pretty weird." Gon agrees with Leorio's statement.

"WHAT DO I SAY?! I can't really tell him I have a stalker named Carl who can manipulate people from a distance that is menacing me?!
