"i wish i could stay."

"yeah, me too. but you have work in la. and friends, i don't blame you for leaving, rose." daisy said. "honestly, i'd rather be in la than kansas right now."

"i told you you should have moved with us!"

"i know, i know."

"speaking of, they're calling me."

"facetime them!"

rosie facetimed sam back, he answered instantly.

"dude, i've been calling you all day. you have a phone for a reason- daisy! how are you?"

rosie shut sam up by putting daisy in the camera, who smiled and waved.

"hi, sam. i'm good."

"you look like shit, dais."

"wow, thanks jake." daisy said, pursing her lips.

"you're welcome." jake laughed.

"daisy, what the hell were you thinking?" sam said.

"i was thinking i'd go to mcdonald's and get chicken nuggets but somebody decided to crash into me." daisy said nonchalantly.

"i'm glad you're okay, daisy." colby said, smiling and waving. "does rose stink? tell her to go home."

"he's only saying that because he misses me. aw, you want me to come home, colby?"

"didn't think that one through did you- aha, loser!" sam said, laughing wildly.

"okay, i just wanted to see if daisy was okay. gotta dash now, bye bye."

"bye sam."

"bye, loves ya!" rosie said, and the call ended.

"you should book your ticket home, rosie." daisy said. "i'm getting let out today, anyway. plus, i can't do anything until im fully healed so we wouldn't be able to do anything. but, i'll come visit you in la when im better. okay? but you need to go home."

"fair point. fine, ill book my ticket." rosie said, pulling out her phone again and searching up flights.

"finally. you need to work, rosie, not sit here and take care of me."

rosie booked the nearest flight. daisy was right, she'd left her laptop home and she needed to catch up on some things but she needed her laptop. so, she would eventually have to go home at the soonest time.

"you need to just move to la."

"i know, maybe in the future." daisy said.

rosie sighed, shaking her head. "fake friend."

"hey! i just got in a car crash!" daisy laughed. "doesn't that give me pity points?"

"nope. you'll always be bullied by me." rosie smiled.

"great. real fun that is."

"miss taylor? you're getting discharged." daisys doctor said, making her way in the room and pulling down the bars of the bed so daisy could stand up. "here's your crutches."

"god, this is just great." daisy sighed, struggling to use the crutches.

rosie helped her get it under her arm. "you're good, you're fine."

"my leg is killing me, damn."

daisy signed the discharge papers, then waited for her mom to get back to the hospital to give them a ride.

"i got you both some mcdonald's."

"nuggets? i've been waiting." daisy said. "yanno, last time i tried there was a speed bump."

daisys mom laughed for the first time in a few days. "yes, 20 nuggets in the for you. and you, rosie."

"thank you mrs taylor."

"you're going home?"

"yep, i'll see you guys soon though, i'll come and visit with everyone in la." rosie said.

"okay, i'll drop you back to your mom. she's probably wondering if you're alive." daisy's mom laughed.

rosie chuckled. "probably."
