sam had been interrogating his sister all morning while she was half dead in her bed with a raging hangover."you two looked pretty cozy." he said, sitting on her desk chair.
"sam." rosie sobbed with no tears. "leave me alone."
"cmon, i know you were drunk-."
"exactly. drunk. and what happens the morning over drinking? hangovers, sam. its a hangover."
"but surely you saw it to. you were practically all over eachother." sam carried on.
"he was helping me cause i hit my head. don't get it twisted." rosie said, hiding her face in the blanket.
"the lies. you're both so in love with eachother, it's insane."
"shut up, sam!" rosie yelled, flinging a pillow directly at his face.
"ow! okay- okay, don't throw another. i'll be gone. i'll get you some advil."
"you better. and some chocolate!"
sam returned with exactly what she asked for, placing it on the empty side of her bed and then quickly leaving.
rosie finally got a couple hours in before she was woken up by colby.
"i just wanna sleep. god, please." rosie prayed.
"it's fine. i'm not gonna be loud- or annoy you like i'm guessing sam did."
"you annoy me with your existence, colby." rosie sighed, a joking smile on her face.
"haha, funny." colby said. "i just came to check on you."
he closed the door behind him, a glass of water in his hands.
"oh. why?"
"you said you hit you're head last night. wanted to see if you were alright."
"yeah. just have a headache which is making my hangover twenty times worse." rosie sighed.
"lemme see your head."
"it honestly doesn't even matter. it's just a lump."
colby turned her head to the side gently, spotting the large lump above her eyebrows that was red.
"that's huge. hold on- let me get you something."
colby came back five minutes later with one of those slushy ice packets, placing it on her eyebrow and pressing down.
"ow! what are you doing?" rosie said, smacking his wrist.
"ice and pressing down. it help, trust me."
"i never trust you." she said, but she couldn't even complain because the cold compress had gotten rid of the throbbing.
"i know it feels better. just admit im amazing and humble and smart." colby said.
"ha! never in a million years." rosie said, closing her eyes.
"don't fall asleep on me." colby said.
"'m not." she mumbled, but in a matter of seconds she was fast asleep.
"sure you wont." he chuckled, his hand not leaving her head.
he could've left, but he didn't want the pain to start up again if he took the pressure away, so he stayed there for a while.
"hey, rosie, i need - oh." sam stopped when he saw colby sat on the edge of her bed holding the pack to her head. "how long have you been sat here?" he laughed, snooping on rosie's desk.
"like 30 minutes. i'm scared to get up." colby said.
"dude, why? she doesn't bite." sam chuckled. "just get up she's literally dead asleep."
colby took the ice pack off of her, the swelling had gone down a bit now.
"you're turning super soft for her. thiught you guys' whole thing was 'ewww no i hate her'?"
"woah, woah- i have not been soft for her- woah, didn't mean it like that- i mean, i did mean it like- look, i don't like her like that." colby said as he and sam left her room.
"i never implied you liked her like anything, colby." sam said, a smirk on his face. "also, please never ever say you're soft for my sister or i might throw up on you."
"i didn't mean it- okay, whatever, this is bullying, and i don't stand for that." colby said, flipping him off.
"whatever you say, man." sam chuckled. "totally in love."
"dude!"
