Reboot - A FNaF FanFic

Chapter 18

I'm going to start doing 3rd person as PoV from now on.

  The 6 animatronics still stared in awe at the sight of what was hidden inside the puppet.

  "What are you?" Chi said, shakily.

  "I'm one of the oldest animatronics here, Chi! And if you meant what kind of animal I am, I am supposed to be a kitten.  Of course you should have been listening." Cheshire said. Freddy finally opened the book that was still in his paws and flipped through it until he got to a page with a blueprint of a cat animatronic, the Toys looking over his shoulder in interest.

  "You were in that suit this whole time? You were pronounced missing a long time ago!" BonBon said after reading the page open in front of him.

 "I know, but it was never my idea to hide in here. They were just going to tear me apart completely, use me for other projects. But Patch didn't want me to get scrapped, so he put me in here," The cat answered, shrugging its shoulders. All the animatronics except Freddy seemed completely confused.

  "Who in the name of Cawthon is Patch?" Fred asked, tilting his head ridiculously to the side. Before Cheshire could answer, Freddy spoke up.

  "I remember now! He was Bonnie's prototype, the Australian rabbit!" He said showing all them the picture of Patch. Bonnie looked deep in thought before speaking.

  "DoES thaT MeAn ThaT yOu were IN tHe FiRst LoCaTioN?" Bonnie said, turning everyone's focus onto the older bear, who was looking to Cheshire to help with the situation. Cheshire put her hands up as if in defense.

  "Don't look at me, you got yourself in this mess." She said. Freddy turned and looked at all the curious animatronics still crowded in the doorway.

 "Yes, I was. But for only about 2 weeks. Then we were all transported to the pizzeria, where Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy were still being built. Cheshire and the other older ones were thrown into the safe room, except for Fredbear, he was performing on stage with me until you lot were finished being built. Then he was thrown in the safe room as well." Freddy quickly said, leaving the other animatronics except Cheshire in awe at Freddy's story. Everyone stayed in silence, trying to process this new information when Foxy ran out into the hall, bursting through the crowd until he was standing in front of all the machines. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING OUT?!?!?!" Freddy yelled, back to his dominate self. 

  "There was a noise coming from behind the shelf, so I moved the shelf and found a door, and when I opened it, it was a closet and a bear flew out of it! I ran out, and I'm not sure if it's still there.." Foxy said, letting out a whimper. Cheshire went to the front of the animatronics out into the hall and quietly went to the end of the hall, the others in tow. Looking around the bend, Cheshire was met with a face she thought she would never see again, activated anyway.

  "FREDBEAR?" She screamed in excitement before hugging the barely functional bear. (See what I did there?)

  "Cheshire.. ah thought that ah would never see ya' again.." Fredbear answered, returning the hug with his left arm. After a few minutes of the embrace, the 2 parted, Fredbear finally looked at the other animatronics. "How long has ah been off?" He asked Cheshire.

  "Almost 37 years now." She told him, pausing for a moment to let him process it.  After another few moments of silence, Freddy finally spoke up.

"Hey Fredbear, long time no see." Freddy said, walking up to stand next to Cheshire. Fredbear looked at Freddy with a thoughtful look as if trying to remember him.

  "Ah, Freddy! You definitely look much more worn since the last I saw ya'!" Fredbear exclaimed, hugging Freddy for a moment before letting him go and looking back at the other animatronics. "And who are dey'?" Chi spoke up before anyone could arrange the words.

  "I'm Chi, that's Chica, BonBon, Fred, Foxy, and Bonnie!" Chi said, pointing to each machine in turn. Fredbear looked at Bonnie, narrowing his eyes in multiple emotions.

  "So ya' are the result of Patch? Don't look like ya' lasted very long, let alone well." Fredbear spat out the words as if they were poison in his mouth. Bonnie looked away, as if ashamed with his own existence. Freddy glared back at Fredbear.

  "There is no reason to say that! I know that you are butt-hurt about Patch shutting down for good, but that is no reason to be sore towards my best friend!" Freddy retorted, coming nose-to-nose with his golden counterpart.

  "Both of you need to calm down! It's not bear-brawl hour!" Cheshire said, jumping in between the 2 bears. "And can I talk to you in private?" She said to Fredbear, who nodded, still glaring at Freddy before following the kitten into the Parts room and shutting the door.

  "Patch isn't dead." Cheshire whispered as soon as she heard the animatronics outside walk into the stage room.

  "What? You better not be pullin' strings here." Fredbear replied immediately.

  "I've been a puppet for 42 years, I am not pulling any strings here." Cheshire said, narrowing her eyes in complete seriousness. "I think all the Diner animatronics are still alive." She said, leaning in with hope shimmering in her voice. The bear leaped around the Parts room, with his limp left arm somehow holding onto his microphone.

  "Where is he? It's been so long ever since I saw my brother bunny!" He joyfully said, stopping his bouncing.

  "That's the problem, I don't know. But I'm pretty sure he will come back, Billy is with him too. If I know BB, he will annoy the sanity out of Julie until they come back." Cheshire said, still keeping the cheerful mood. Fredbear tilted his head in confusion. "Julie is the grown who took them. And the reason he took them was that another accident happened and she had to fix them." She quickly explained. Cheshire explained the whole accident before someone called the 5 minute warning outside the Parts room. Fredbear said a quick goodbye before going into the closet behind the bookshelf and closing the door. Everyone else went back to their own spots, Cheshire trying her best to cover her face with the shattered mask before all the animatronics went into their programmed state of unconsciousness.
