8 Months Later

"Hatta?" I call into the shop. Memories flood into my head. Jest sneaking me to a tea party that the Jabberwocky interrupted. I shake my head and rub my swollen stomach. "Hatta!"

There's a clang of pans, "Coming, coming." Hatta stumbles out the kitchen and looks me up and down. "Your stomach has indeed grown."

"I need your help," I remind him.

"Yes, yes, yes, you told me that 8 months ago, my queen."

"This is Jest's baby, Hatta," I almost shout. "What if the baby inherits his powers, I won't know how to control them, or help him!"

Hatta raised a brow, "You want me to teach the young lad how to use his powers?" I nod. "No can do." A growl of frustration escapes my lips, "Why not."

"I know not how Jest's powers work, but you should ask Raven, after all, in Chess, them two were in the same rank that served The White Queen."

I nod, taking in his advice. "That, I shall do. Thank you, Hatta."

17 Years Later

The day my sweet Jester was born was the day that my heart might've grown back. Seeing my son, Jest's son in my arms brought back all that love we shared. Jester inherited his father's yellow tart eyes, black hair, and inherited my old love for baking and sweets. Three years after Jester was born, The king's daughter, Rose, was born. Even though my first and only love did not sire her, she was still my daughter, and for that I loved her just as much as I loved Jester. Her hair was brown, like mine except had light pink highlights. Spade was born two years after Rose with brown hair and eyes.

The king is unaware that he didn't sire Jester, despite the clear resemblance to his father. The king hasn't once doubted Jester as his son, and on his deathbed claimed Jester as his heir.

A/N:
For any one who is a little lost here are the ages of the kids.
Jester: 17
Rose: 13
Spade: 11

"Mother, mother, mother!" Jester rushes up to me a smile on his face. Raven in his bird form follows from behind. I return his smile, "Yes, my dear?" Jester beams, "Look what Raven taught me!" I watch carefully as my son disappears and reappears on the other end of the garden without me ever blinking. I clap. I smile a thanks to Raven, to which he nods.

A messenger comes and pants. "Queen Catherine, the black and white black should be starting soon." I nod to the messenger and dismiss him. "Jester, dear! Go get dressed for the ball and help your brother and sister."

"Oh alright. Come on, Raven!"

"Uh, no, dear. I need Raven for right now. He will come get you when the ball starts." I explain. Jester dejectedly bids farewell to Raven and runs off into the castle.

"Troubled, you seem," Raven chirps.

A/N:
I'm sorry guys I don't know how to do riddles so Raven is just gonna talk like Yoda... I'm so sorry!

I nod. "Indeed I am, old friend. The last black and white ball I've been to is where...where I met you and Jest. I guess...It's just a little hard with out him. Especially since every time I look at Jester I'm reminded of Jest. "

The sun sets rather fast hurrying Raven and I back to the castle. Raven goes to retrieve my kids while I go put on a black ball gown. thirty minutes later, the ball began. My children giggling and dancing with each other brought a smile to my face.

"Well well well," That all to familiar voice taunted. "Pleasure seeing you again, dearest Catherine."

I suppress a grumble. "I told you if you ever step foot in my presence, Cheshire, I will have the guards dislocate your head from your body."

"Yes, yes, yes, but I do believe you have some guests you'll be much more interested than attempting to kill me." I succumb to Chessie's taunting and raise a brow, "Like who."

Chessie's tail points to two men: Hatta and someone with black hair. "Keep looking, dearest Catherine." The black haired man's head finally turns to me and I tense on my throne. Yellow tart eyes...It can't be

My eyes frantically search for Jester who's already approaching the steps with a confused expression, looking from me to the man with Hatta. "Mom?" "Honey, I need you to go to the garden."

"But mom! There's something you need to see!"

"I know, Jester! Just listen to me please and go to the Garden." I snap my fingers and Raven flies to me and perches on my shoulder. "Raven will go with you." Raven jumps to my son's shoulder. Without another word they vanish into the gardens.

I descend down the stairs to Hatta, ignoring the look of hope on his companion's face and glare at Hatta, "What is the meaning of this?" I sneer.

A familiar smooth voice broke away my attention from Hatta, "Cath?"

I slowly turn my head and stare into those familiar yellow eyes. "Jest?"
