Chapter Ten
#EY10

Rishven:

OA mo

I rolled my eyes. I'm sure he's already laughing at his own words right now, but more laughing at my response. I'm not ashamed to be with him. And also, I was with Aldiera that day and he was with his friends too.

The ORSEM for senior highschool students will happen in just a few days. I'm one of the volunteer facilitators. The event will last for three days, consisting of different activities per day. Mayroon ding kanya-kanyang booths ang bawat organization. That's why I joined as a facilitator, so it would be easy for me to recruit students to join the debate society.

Scrolling through our school's senior highschool Facebook page, I saw that the post about getting to know this year's ORSEM facilitators is already up. I arched my eyebrow when I also saw Alpas' name there.

Wow, his favorite subject is calculus. His hobbies do not even relate with studying yet knowing his rank last school year, he is really naturally smart.

Before the first day of ORSEM, facilitators were gathered for a meeting. Sabay na rin ng distribution of our polo shirts with each day having a different color, and it also has our surname at the back.

"Royola," I heard someone mumble beside me. I looked up and it was Alpas.

I raised a brow. "What, Lozano?"

He smirked. "Binabasa lang, e."

I already told him before that I don't wanna be called by my surname because it always reminds me of being the mayor's daughter of this town. Hindi naman sa kinakakahiya ko, I just often hear people call my father by that and it's always associated with responsibilities.

"I didn't know you also volunteered."

He nodded. "Bored lang. Bored ka rin?"

"Sort of." I shrugged.

Alpas just stayed behind me. He just looked down on me, clueless on why I was looking at him.

"Bakit?" He asked.

"Wala."

I just let him stay there. But I can feel how the other volunteers look at us from time to time. I feel comfortable being physically close to Alpas because I know it doesn't mean anything between us. But the people! Another issue would stirr up, I just know.

I cleared my throat and looked at him again.

"You stand here," I whispered and pulled the hem of his shirt so he could switch to my side.

Alpas just stared at me.
