You took a step back to view your work; a neat pentagram drawn on the on your concrete basement floor, a candle on each point of the pentagram, many energy giving crystals on the surrounding circle of the star, a dried rose heads dipped in dried goats blood smoldering away in the very center of it all atop an antichrist cross.
You took a deep breath before letting the spell words flow from your mouth.
"By the power granted to I by the mighty hellish lord Lucifer Morningstar, I here by command a being of the brimstone pits to come forward and present itself to me." Your voice was strong and powerful, commanding even.
"Con Clavi Con Dio, Hail satanus, Archangelo. Hell Satan, I welcome year zero!"
With that final belt of words, the flames of the candles rose to behemoth heights, as a mighty demon began to solidify before you.
"Holy shit that actually worked..." you breathed out, chest heaving in excitement as the demons form finalized.
Now that you could see the demon properly, you could tell that it wasn't a demon, but a demon sub species. A ghoul.
This ghoul was the definition of tall-dark-and-handsome; for he had broad shoulders, a fit and toned torso put on display by his lack of shirt, mighty ram-like horns apon his head, sharp white fangs, razor sharp claws, droopy goat-like ears that flicked and turned curiously, an expressive black spaided demon tail, and beautiful green eyes that seemed to glow in the low lighting.
A low growl rumbled deep from within the ghoul's chest, his voice as if it were coming from the earth's core itself.
"Who dare summon me...?"
"I." You reply calmly, stepping back to give the ghoul space.
"And who might you be, little human?" The ghoul rumbled again.
"Y/N." You had to tilt your head up to meet the ghouls gaze. "And I know names hold much power, so it'd only be fair you gave me yours in turn."
The ghoul chuckled deeply, and you feared that the sound alone would shake the shake the very foundation of the building.
"I am Mountain of the earth ghouls," the ghoul, now identified as Mountain, said finally, his head tilted in amusement. "And you, y/n, have quite the attitude.
"But," the ghoul continued. "I am yet to know the reason of my arrival on the surface." Mountain quirked an expecting brow.
"Well, you see, I have heard that your homeland of the pits is a very unpleasant place, and I wanted to perhaps offer refuge." You reply calmly, sitting back in the arm chair placed beside one of the many bookshelves that line your basement walls, gesturing for Mountain to sit in the arm chair opposite.
Mountain hesitated. "And what if I wanted to return to the pits?" He was just testing the waters, like a sly little fox batting a paw at a frozen lake to try and figure out if the ice was thick enough to walk on.
"Then I can always send you back." You hummed, picking up your abandoned tea from the coffee table and taking a dramatic sip.
"Yeah no thanks," Mountain chuckled, but still did not sit.
"Offer refuge, you say?" Mountain's ears flicked expressionatly in curiosity. "You mean, you are willing to provide food and a bed for me?"
"Mhm," you hum, holding your tea in your lap. "In return for companionship and a helping hand around the place."
"I hope you do understand what being you have invited into your home." Mountain sighed. "Ghouls are not known at all to be kind and gentle creatures."
"I do not fear you, and I trust you will treat me how i treat you." You hum simply in response.
