"What do you think of this one?" Meredith pointed at her laptop screen showing Addison a nearby house for rent. "It's not too far from here so I wouldn't have such a long drive when I want to see you and it's close to the hospital if I get the job."
"First of all, it's not 'if' you get the job, it's 'when' you get the job." Addison rolled her eyes. "Second of all, going back to being an intern means you won't have nearly as much free time so what's the point of renting a house if any free time you have is just going to be spent here with me anyway? I just think it's a waste."
"Do healthy relationships typically move in together the first night they meet?" Meredith raised her eyebrow.
"They do if they have demanding jobs and have limited time to spend together." Addison argued as she moved Meredith's laptop to the nightstand and moved to straddle her hips. She leaned down so her lips were hovering over the blonde's, their lips as close as they could be without touching. "It's up to you, but I really enjoy having you here." She gently pressed her lips against the blonde's, the kiss soon becoming passionate as she sucked Meredith's bottom lip into her mouth, relishing the blonde's whimper. She groaned when her alarm went off and reluctantly detached herself from the blonde and slapped her alarm to turn it off. "See if you just stay here then you'll definitely be here when I get home from work so we can pick this up later."
"So you want me to live with you so I'm always available for sex?" Meredith giggled as she watched Addison walk to her closet, throwing clothes on the bed so she could get dressed for work.
"Yes, and because I genuinely enjoy spending time with you. This is more than just sex sweetheart, although the sex is fantastic." Addison chuckled and kissed Meredith's forehead before pulling her pajamas off and putting on a dark green blouse and pencil skirt, a smirk tugging at the corners of her mouth when she noticed the blonde's dilated pupils as she watched Addison get dressed with rapt attention. "I take it you'll be here when I get home?"
"If I start working at the hospital I'll barely be home and you're gone 9am to 5pm Monday through Friday so it's not like we'll even have the time to annoy each other." Meredith thought out loud. "Why rent my own place when staying here won't cause either one of us to step on the other one's toes?"
"So all I had to do was take my clothes off for you to finally listen to me?" Addison teased as she tucked her blouse into her skirt. "I'll keep that little trick in mind for the next time you don't want to listen to me."
"Oh shut up and go to work." Meredith rolled her eyes with a small giggle. "It's not my fault you have nice boobs." She picked up a pillow and threw it at Addison. "Now go so you can come back and take your clothes off again."
"So demanding." Addison leaned down and kissed Meredith softly. "I should be seeing Charlotte today so I'll mention that you want to intern at the hospital to her."
"Thank you. If she doesn't seem interested, just mention that I'm Ellis Grey's daughter, that may change her mind." Meredith smirked. "Might make me seem more desirable as an intern if she knows that The Great Ellis Grey is the one who raised me."
"I'll keep that card in my back pocket." Addison chuckled and picked up her purse. "Call or text me if you need anything, I'll see you tonight." She kissed Meredith once more before leaving. The blonde sighed as she heard the front door close behind her, rolling over and deciding to go back to sleep for a little bit.
Addison got off the elevator at Oceanside Wellness and waved at the receptionist as she walked towards her office. She sat down behind her desk and began looking over her appointment calendar, smiling when she saw that she had a relatively easy day and may even manage to get off work early. The redhead was lost in her thoughts when a knock on her door startled her. "Come in!" The door opened and Naomi walked in, looking Addison over with a critical eye as she moved to sit in one of the chairs in front of the redhead's desk. "Any reason why you're looking at me like that?"
