Meredith smiled in her sleep as she felt Addison's soft lips on her face, traveling down her neck. The blonde giggled as she opened her eyes and moved to wrap her arms around the redhead's neck and pull her back up towards her mouth, leaning in to connect their lips. "That was a wonderful way to wake up." She pecked Addison's lips again and smiled when she saw a tray of breakfast on the nightstand. "Breakfast in bed?" She raised her eyebrow. "What's the special occasion?"
"We have officially been dating for a month today." Addison smiled and picked up the tray of French toast, strawberries, eggs, bacon and orange juice and placed it on Meredith's lap.
"I didn't realize that full grown adults celebrated one month anniversaries." Meredith teased as she brought a strawberry to her lips. "But I like it. Thank you Addie." She smiled and fed the redhead a strawberry as well.
"You're right, typically full grown adults wouldn't celebrate being in a relationship for a month." Addison chuckled. "But the way you make me feel, it's like being back in high school again and high schoolers definitely celebrate one month anniversaries."
"You wouldn't happen to have anything to do with Dr. King giving me the day off, would you?" Meredith accused with a playful smirk.
"Let's just say, I owe her a favor." Addison laughed. "I wanted to spend the day with you, is that okay?"
"More than okay." Meredith confirmed as she fed Addison a bite of French toast before taking one herself. "Honestly, this week has been so long I could use a day off and a day off spent with you sounds even better."
"But things have been better since Sadie was reprimanded by both Charlotte and HR, right?" Addison asked as she wiped a string of syrup off of Meredith's chin. "If she's still giving you trouble, I'm not opposed to ripping her head off. Or requesting her the next time I have a surgery and absolutely torturing her." She chuckled with a mischievous grin.
"She completely avoids me, thank god." Meredith sighed as she took a sip of orange juice. "Besides, Mark requests her almost every time he has a surgery and sends her to get his coffee instead of actually letting her do anything or teaching her. I think she's suffering enough."
"Do you want me to tell him to stop? He's just trying to protect you in his special Mark way, but if you're uncomfortable with it I'm sure he'll give it a rest." Addison smiled softly as she ran a hand through Meredith's hair. The blonde smirked as she took a bite of bacon. "What aren't you telling me?"
"It's possible that the only reason Mark is doing it in the first place is because I asked him to." Meredith confessed with a small giggle.
"Wait a second, you asked him to?" Addison laughed. "When?"
"Two days after I filed the complaint he was at the hospital and requested me on the case, apparently I am the only competent intern in the entire hospital, personally I think he only feels that way because I'm dating you." Meredith explained with a giggle. "Anyways, we were eating lunch together before surgery and he asked me if she was still bothering me and while we were talking I may have let it slip that she got through college by cheating off my assignments and I heard that her dad bought her a passing grade in medical school. He said that if that's true, that we should inform Dr. King, but I said she had other talents that could be useful." She smirked.
"The two of you are trying to get her to quit, aren't you?" Addison guessed with an amused smile playing on her lips.
"Maybe." Meredith bit her lip, a hint of mischief in her eyes.
"Oh my god, you are a mini Mark. Always scheming." Addison snorted as she shook her head, a small smile pulling at the corners of her lips.
"He reminds me a lot of Cristina and I really miss her so it's nice having another obnoxious friend with a god complex." Meredith giggled as she put the breakfast tray aside and moved to straddle Addison's waist, leaning down to press open mouthed kisses to the redhead's neck. "So, do you have anything planned for today?" She nibbled on Addison's pulse point, causing the older woman to roll her hips as a filthy moan escaped her lips.
