The Kim household buzzed with excitement. Mina was busy in the kitchen, preparing a feast for Jungkook's visit. Bora had received a call from Jungkook the previous night, sharing the news that he had told his parents about her. They were thrilled and would be accompanying him to finalize their wedding plans.Upstairs, Taehyung remained in his room, unable to face the reality of his mate marrying someone else. The pain was too much to bear.
Meanwhile, Bora was getting ready in her room. She wore a stunning dress, her hair styled perfectly, and minimal makeup accentuated her features. She looked breathtakingly beautiful, but her heart lacked the same beauty.
Downstairs, Daehyun assisted Mina in the kitchen. The doorbell rang, and Bora hurried downstairs, beaming with joy.
Daehyun opened the door to reveal Jiwon, his wife Hana, and Jungkook. He bowed respectfully and welcomed them inside.
As they entered, Jungkook bowed to Mr. and Mrs. Kim, while Bora bowed to Mr. and Mrs. Jeon.
Mrs. Jeon's warm smile lit up the room. "Your mate is truly beautiful, Kook."
Bora's cheeks flushed pink. "Thank you, My Queen."
Hana's kind eyes sparkled. "No formalities, child. You're my son's mate. Call me Aunt or Eomma."
Bora's blush deepened. "Okay, Eomma."
Jiwon, Jungkook's father, chuckled. "We're thrilled to finally meet you, Bora. Our Kook has told us so much about you."
Mina stepped forward, smiling. "Please, come in. We've prepared a meal in your honor."
As they sat down, Hana asked, "Bora, tell me about yourself. What do you like to do?"
Bora launched into a lively conversation, charming Jungkook's parents with her wit and charm.
Meanwhile, Taehyung remained upstairs, his heart heavy with sorrow.
Just then, Mina asked Bora, "Where's Taehyungie? He hasn't come downstairs yet."
Bora's smile faltered, but she quickly recovered. "He must be feeling down, Eomma. He hasn't met his mate yet."
Mina's expression turned stern, her eyes flashing with annoyance. "I'll call him," she said, her voice firm.
Excusing herself, Mina headed upstairs, leaving Bora with Mr. and Mrs. Jeon, who were engrossed in discussing Bora's likes and dislikes.
Meanwhile, Jungkook's inner wolf growled in anguish, as if sensing Taehyung's distress. Jungkook's confusion deepened; he couldn't explain why his wolf was reacting this way.
Upstairs, Mina knocked gently on Taehyung's door. "Taehyungie, baby, come downstairs. The king and queen are here, and you skipped dinner last night too. Are you okay, sweetie?"
Her voice dripped with concern.
Taehyung, still reeling from his heartbreak, replied softly, "I'm fine, Mom. I'll be down in five minutes."
Mina's warmth filled the hallway. "Okay, baby. Hurry up. We're worried about you."
She waited for a moment, ensuring Taehyung was alright, before returning downstairs.
Taehyung rose from bed, refreshed after washing his face and changing into crisp clothes. Confident in his appearance, he descended the stairs.
As he entered the room, Mr. and Mrs. Jeon, along with Jungkook, turned to greet him.
Daehyun beamed with pride. "This is my child, Kim Taehyung, Bora's twin brother."
Taehyung's warm smile illuminated the space as he bowed respectfully.
Jungkook's eyes locked onto Taehyung, flashing crimson. A searing pain shot through his chest, leaving him breathless.
Everyone's concern was palpable. Hana rushed to Jungkook's side.
"Jungkook, dear, are you okay?" she asked, worry etched on her face.
Jungkook forced a reassuring smile. "Yeah, Mom. Nothing to worry about."
Hana's gaze lingered, ensuring her son was fine.
She turned to Mina, her eyes sparkling. "Your children are breathtakingly beautiful, Mina. Taehyung shines like the moon, as if born of the moon goddess herself."
Daehyun and Mina exchanged uneasy glances, their smiles masking hidden emotions.
Mina's voice trembled slightly. "Thank you, My queen. You're too kind."
Daehyun cleared his throat, breaking the tension. "Please, let's dine together. We have much to celebrate."
As they sat down, Taehyung's eyes met Jungkook's. For an instant, their connection was palpable.
Jungkook's wolf stirred, seeing Taehyung.
After dinner, they gathered in the hall, enjoying each other's company.
Hana complimented Mina, "Your cooking was exquisite!"
Mina smiled graciously. "Thank you, My queen."
Jiwon shifted the conversation to the wedding plans. "Now, let's discuss the wedding. Jungkook's birthday is next month. We can combine the celebrations."
But Bora quickly intervened, "No."
All eyes turned to her.
"I mean," Bora explained with a forced smile, "I don't want to be apart from Jungkook anymore. Why not next week? If everyone agrees, of course."
Hana turned to Jungkook. "Kook, are you okay with next week?"
Lost in thought, Jungkook nodded absently. "Yes, Mom, I'm okay."
Jiwon finalized the decision. "Then it's settled. The marriage is next week."
Congratulations filled the room.
Taehyung, though hurting, congratulated Bora warmly. Turning to Jungkook, he said, "Congratulations, Mr. Jeon."
Jungkook's gaze snapped up, his eyes blazing red. "Lovisa," he whispered aloud.
Taehyung's eyes flickered blue for an instant before returning to normal.
The room fell silent.
Hana's confusion deepened. "Who's Lovisa, Jungkook?"
Jungkook shook off the trance. "I...I don't know, Mom. It just slipped out."
Hana's worried gaze lingered, but she nodded.
However, Mr. and Mrs. Kim exchanged knowing glances. They sensed something more.
Daehyun leaned over to Mina and whispered, "Did you see that? Jungkook's reaction..."
Mina's eyes narrowed. "And Taehyung's eyes turned blue. There's more to this."
Their subtle exchange went unnoticed by the others.
