Chapter 5

Lucy POV

Me: First of all, don't call me brunette, and secondly, I think you're confusing me with someone else.

Unknown: I could never confuse you even if you had a thousand people around you I would confuse you, how could I forget the crazy woman who spilled a drink on my T-shirt and as if that wasn't enough she also called me an idiot.

Me: Ah! Now I remembered you and I called you an idiot, and I repeat, you are an idiot squared, or better yet, an idiot cubed. Now that you've put on your morning show, let me pass because I have more to do - I bumped into him on purpose and went off to look for my friends.

Unknown: You owe me a new T-shirt - he shouted while he was far away, but I could hear him.

Me: Put it on the bill - I shouted and showed him the middle finger.

I found my friends chatting under our tree and went to see them. As soon as I sat down, Tina started asking me lots of questions, not giving me time to answer any of them because she was talking so fast.

Tina: Who is this guy? Why did he want to talk to you? I've never seen you two together. How do you know each other?

Cauã: Calm down, Valentina is going to kill the girl with so many questions - he says laughing and Tina slaps him on the head.

Tina: Shut up Cauã, I want to know, I'm curious.

Me: It's a guy I bumped into at the club and I accidentally spilled my drink on his white T-shirt and we had a little argument - I laugh remembering the scene but I still didn't like him.

Cauã: We can stop talking about this guy, and talk about any other subject other than this guy.

Me: I agree with you Cauã! So what do you want to talk about?

Tina: I know! You're going to the welcome party on Friday, right?

Me, Cauã and Victor: Of course!

Me: I wouldn't miss this party for anything, let's all go to the party together, right? - I say looking at Victor.

Victor: Stop looking at me like that Lucy, I'm not your driver - I put my hands together and made a face like a stray puppy - ok, I'll go get you, but Lucy, if you take one more minute you'll stay.

Me: Yes captain - I salute.

Then we started talking about random subjects, until the bell rang and we had to go to class. The first class was biology, since it's just a presentation, I don't even pay attention.

We sat in the chairs at the back, me in front of Tina, Victor on Tina's left side and Cauã on my right side and we started talking about last night, and Cauã told us that he almost picked up a girl but ran away from her after seeing that he was gay.

Me: I just hope it doesn't take too long - I say quietly so only I can hear. And I rest my head on my arms as I wait for the presentations to end.

The biology teacher came into the room and we stopped talking and looked at him. He wasn't as ugly (as I had imagined), but he wasn't so gorgeous that he made my panties wet either. He was tall, thin and blond. He put his folder on the desk and looked at us.

Teacher: Good morning students - we all replied - as you already know today we will not have classes, only the new students will introduce themselves, so you can stand up one by one and introduce yourselves.

Student 1: Hello everyone! I'm Marina Caine, I'm 18 years old and I just moved from Brazil to Los Angeles - I already like it.

Student 2: Well, I'm Joel Caine and I'm 17 years old -wow, that's so direct-.

Student 3: I'm Felipe Moreira... - wait, I know that voice, I'm slow to face him, my God, universe, why do you continue to conspire against me? I say to myself - I'm 17 years old, I just moved from Canada to Los Angeles and that's it for now.

Me: Lord, what have I done wrong in this life for you to punish me like this? It's not enough that I have to put up with this boy at school and as if that weren't enough, I have to put up with him in my classroom.
