Sometimes,
people stay in my mind.
People I don't know,
strangers,
strangers I've never exchanged a word with,
but strangers I somehow won't forget.
I remember that little child,
with her headphones,
her cute bangs,
her dreamy eyes,
dancing across the schoolyard.
I remember that young woman,
colorful hair,
shabby chic clothes,
expression full of life.
I even remember that elderly man,
his hat,
his coat,
his leather bag,
his ever so slightly limping steps.
All those people who stay in my mind,
and sometimes I wish,
oh I really wish
for someone
to spot me,
my golden necklace,
my black ankle boots,
and even weeks later,
they'll think:
Oh yeah, right,
I remember that girl.
