Chap 16: Hearing you sing

Taylor's pov:

Im sitting at the piano thinking of songs that I want to make. Travis walks in on me in the music room he has.

Travis: "Whatcha doing baby?" He smiles

He sits on the other chair next to the piano and watches me play the piano.

Taylor: "I'm trying to think of new songs to make for my new album."

I start to hum a melody for a song.

Travis: "Can I listen to you sing?"

Taylor: "Of course you can my singing voice is kinda raw because I'm not on tour."

Travis: "I don't mind your voice is always beautiful."

He kisses my cheek softly and rubs his hand on my leg. I turn red. I start to hum again and I play notes.

Taylor: "I thought of this song called Robin the other day. The song sounds like a lullaby to a little girl or a little boy. Its a sweet song that I haven't finished yet."

Travis: "Sing it to me, I want to hear your singing."

I pull the lyrics up on my phone and start to sing the lyrics. I start to hum again. I get the right notes and start to sing. I close my eyes.

Taylor: "Long may you reign... You're an animal you are bloodthirsty... Out window panes talking utter nonsense you have no idea... Strings tied to levers. Slowed down clocks tethered all this to keep it, for you."

I stop and take a breathe.

Taylor: "In sweetness way to go tiger."

I stop again and play the notes for about 30 seconds and start singing again.

Taylor: "Higher and higher."

I pause again.

Taylor: "Wilder and lighter for you."

I take a deep breathe in and sing again

Taylor: "Long may you roar at your dinosaurs you're a just ruler covered in mud you look ridiculous and you have no idea..."

I stop play the piano and finish what I have of the song. Travis claps and I smile and hug him.

Travis: "That... That was absolutely beautiful. That's my girl." He hugs me tight

Taylor: "Really?"

Travis: "Tay that was absolutely beautiful. I can't wait for you to finish the song. It's absolutely gorgeous. I love your songwriting so much. It's so what's the word? So much emotion and it's just amazing."

I start to tear up. I hug him tighter and then let him go.

Travis: "Don't cry baby. I really mean it." He smiles and wipes my tears.

Taylor: "Nobody's said that about my songs. Like ever. Your the first one. It means everything to me."

Travis: "I want to treat you the way you deserve to be treated. I love your songs so much even the song your writing right now. I know one day you'll make a song about me and it'll be perfect just like you."

He starts to tickle me and I start to laugh.

Taylor: "No no stop!!!" I laugh louder

Travis: "Nope! Cheer up baby I love you so much. I'm saying the honest truth about what I think!!" He laughs

I end up on top of him from laughing so much. My face goes red. He looks up at me and laughs. I start to laugh too and he tickles me again. I get up off him and run away from him and he chases me.

Taylor: "You can't catch me!!"

Travis: "Oh yeah?" He says as he runs fast and catches me

He catches me and I'm against a wall. I look up at him. I give him a little smirk. He gets close and our lips touch one another's
