Chapter 17
Sam is on his way, going to meet Fred in the beer bar; and he notice group of people gather on the road side. Sam went to them.
Saw a lady laying down with blood all over her body
Sam: what happen and someone say; she was knock by a passing car;
Sam: what are you guys waiting? rush her to hospital. Sam rush to the road and stop taxi and they' carry the woman to hospital;
In the beer bar
Fred look around and check the time and smile!
Hospital. nurses help Sam and rush the woman to emergency room; and the doctor tell Sam to go sign some documents; so they can start treating the lady!
Sam rush to the reception room and start signing the peppers. Sam use his life servings to treat the woman!
Hour later in Mr Rick house
Fred open the door to living room while aika sitting in the couch and she stand up.
Aika: did you clear everything!
Fred: he didn't show up; inform him to prepare and leave first thing tomorrow morning! And sam went upstairs!
Aika grab her phone and call Sam; but no respond; aika keep calling Sam phone while walking up and down in the living room!
The next day morning;
In Mr Rick house
Sam yawn and open the door to living room and saw aika laying in the couch; and Sam sit beside her and draw aika hair from her face and smile!
Aika open her eyes and say Sam; where have you been and Fred say from the stairs way! wow, you think I'm stupid, so you have to toy me in the bar.
Aika: bro calm down maybe something happen!
Fred laugh out loud and say; I don't blame you! And he grab Sam jacket and pull him close and say, how dare you play with their feelings;
Sam: I'm not playing with anyone's feeling here, I truly love aika and Fred land him heavy slap
Sam: please calm down; and let me explains things; and Mrs Rick say from kitchen way: Fred; your auntie just call me now to ask if grandma fine arrive!
Fred: grandma is coming?
Mrs Rick: yes, she left there yesterday; I don't know why she is not yet here! And Fred say; are you trying to say, grandma is lost and his mom say; yes.
Fred: reach out to his phone and call his grandma and grandma phone ring in Sam pocket!
Fred turn and look at Sam and say; why is grandma phone with you!
Sam: yesterday night, I was on my way to meet you; and I saw her laying on the road side; blood all over her! I learnt that a passing car knock her; and no one is willing to help her, so i rush her to hospital! Fred and Everyone was shock!
Minutes later in the hospital;
Fred rush inside his grandma Wald and sit beside her on the bed while nurse is giving her treatment! And the family enter;
Fred: grandma why you didn't call me, to come pick you. And the doctor enter; and say; Mr Fred; she is your grandma?
Fred: yes how is she; and doctor say; thank that Young Man; if she was delayed little bit. she could have pass away!
Aika held Sam hand and draw closer to him
The Doctor touch Sam shoulder and say; I having see a kind man like you!
Grandma held Fred hand and say; I'm fine, stop the tears and Fred stand up and say; aika settle everything; I'm coming and he walk out!
Livia company in livia office. livia siting in her chair while flashing back how she were throwing herself on Fred;. And she heard Fred voice from outside!
Livia went out to check and Fred walk to her; and hold her hand and drag her outside and open his car and push livia in and drive away
In some place; Fred step on break and get down and open the door and draw livia out:
Fred: what do you really planning of doing?
Livia: what are you talking about and fred say; what is the relationship between you and Sam?
Livia: I'm sorry, I guess I have say a lot when I was drunk; we are just friends; although I love him but he sees me as sister!
Fred: do you know what you almost course with that your silly drunk! And tears start rolling down on Livia cheeks!
Livia: do you think is easy to watch the person you have loved your whole life? Loving another person? Do you know how much pain. I have to go through? do you know how many times I have to fake smiling while deep down I'm dying slowly.
Fred look at livia crying and he pull her close and hug her tight while livia crying uncontrollably trying to wriggle from Fred arms!
In the hospital
Aika sit beside her grandma and grandma; say; who is that?
Aika: my boyfriend, we will get marry soon! And grandma say; you have made a right choice.
Mrs Rick enter and say; aika you both should stay here! I'm going to prepare something for you guys!
Grandma: when are we leaving here and aika say; recover first.
On road side bench;
Fred give livia his handkerchief and livia wipe her tears and thank him!
Fred: I understand your feelings!
Livia: you haven't been in this before; how can you understand; you don't believe in relationship.
Fred smile and say; that is what everyone think. Sometimes I have to hide my tears, when ever I see happy couples!
When I was sixteen! I fall in love with a girl of my age in UK. Fred smile; and say she was the most beautiful girl in our school! She loves me and promise me heaven and earth! Only to wake up one day and find her died;
She was asmatic patient but never told me. her father house was on fire; due to the smoke she pass out. it was too late when her parents got to the hospital! I ask almost all the prist to bring her back to life! But nothing happen!
tears start rolling down on fred cheeks!
Livia look at him and say; I'm sorry about that! And Fred took his wallet and say this is the only picture of her I have!
Livia: wow; she is beautiful than I imagine!
Mr Rick house
Fred enter his room and flash back how he hug livia tight when she was crying and he smile and put his phone and wallet on the bed and went to bathroom!
In the hospital
Sam yawn and aika stand up and hug him tight and say; thank you for saving grandma's life.
Sam: don't say that; we are humans we need one another. Thank you for being there for me! I love you!
Aika: I think bro will allow us to marry!
Sam kiss her slowly and aika respond to the kiss and aika grandma say; for God sake this is hospital! And aika smile and say sorry for waking you!
Grandma: I never slept! I can see Fred doesn't treat you like baby anymore.
