Persona 5 - The Aftermath

Let's go!

Well... I'm back here again. This is where everything began for me, where I first met Shido, where I first got arrested, and where the greatest adventure of my life began.

I almost thank Shido. Despite everything he put me through, if it weren't for him I never would've met my fellow Phantom Thieves, and now S.E.E.S and the Investigation Team, all of that was because of what happened that day.

Now I'm back, for different reasons. Three days ago Aigis messaged me saying she wants to talk, so I asked her to meet me here, I'm here like 20 minutes early so she's probably gonna be a-

Wow, she's early too.

"Hello Amamiya Kun, did you wait long?"

"Yeah I've been here like two hours."

"Oh! My deepest apologies Amamiya kun, did I get the time we were to meet messed up?"

She's so easy, I feel kinda guilty.

Still, can't help but chuckle.

"No Aigis San I'm kidding, I just arrived myself. Oh and you can call me Ren, we're friends and comrades right?"

"That was inappropriate. You think we're friends because we fought together ONE time?"

Uh... this is awkward.

"I..."

She bursts into laughter.

"Now I'm kidding, Ren, I'm glad we are friends."

My heart stopped for a second. Still, good one Aigis.

"Ahem, so Aigis, what was it you wanted to talk about?"

"Nothing in particular."

...

What?

"Nothing at all?"

"Nope."

"So why are we here?"

"Because I'd like to get to know you, Ren."

That's sweet, but so unexpected it's weird.

"Okayyy, I'm glad to hear that, and please don't take this the wrong way but why?"

"I am a member of S.E.E.S, so I already have a close relationship with my comrades, as you already know I met Yu and the investigation team a few years ago, but you and your Phantom Thieves, I barely know you."

"Right, I could guess where your going with this, bonds are our strength as persona users, so you wish to grow closer to us to draw out our power and be able to coordinate better in case of another problem with Shadows."

"Spoken like a true leader, that is correct... well about 35% correct."

"35 percent?"

"The actual number is 34.569773141274% correct but I rounded it up to 35."

I can't help but chuckle a little.

"Ok so what's the other 65 percent?"

Is she... blushing?

"W-well, it's embarrassing."

"There's nothing to be embarrassed about, tell me."

"I- I just wanted to get to know my friends better."

That was really cute just now.

I see why you love her Makoto.

"Ohhhhhhhh, I see, you should've just said, we would love to do that, in fact, how about you and I head up to Tokyo again for a visit?"

"I'd love that, plus I get to see Makot- uhh."

"Aigis."

"Yes?"

"We all know about you and Makoto."

"Wha what? HOW?"

This is too funny.

"You two are so obvious."

"Everyone knows?"

"Well I can't say for sure but I know me and Yu definitely know."

"That SO embarrassing!"

"I think it's cute."

"Yeah, well I know you love Yoshizawa!"

What?

"Y- ho- sigh well that makes two people."

"Who's the first?"

"Mona."

"He is one smart cat."

"How did you know about Sumi?"

"Well for one you call her Sumi, I've never heard you give anyone else a nickname."

Oh shoot she's right, but it just felt... natural.

"It was that easy?"

"Well the main thing is, your pupils dilated every time you looked at her, as an anti shadow weapon my eyes are better than a regular human's so it was easy to tell."

Well only she would notice something like that so Sumi probably doesn't know.

"Does that mean you knew that Makoto liked you?"

"W-well, no. I- I was too busy staring into his ocean blue eyes to notice..."

"So you get distracted easily?"

"N-no! You don't understand, they draw you in! His nonchalant demeanour has so much heart and compassion behind it, and his eyes tell me everything I need to know, and yet I learn something new from them every time I look into them, I can think of nothing except drawing closer to them, as close as I can possibly get, but hugging him too tight could hurt him so I hold myself bac-"

Wow. She is crazy about him. It's adorable. She's still talking too.

"Okay Aigis I get it."

Oh! I think she just realised she was ranting.

"I'm sorry-sorry-sorry, that was really improper of me."

"It's ok Aigis, he's a great guy."

"Yes, he really is."

"So let's do it."

"Do what?"

"Go to Tokyo to see them? What else would we do?"

"Uh... I don't know... but YES let's go!"
