Hikaru Pov:

Hikaru shifted his weight from one foot to the other, watching Suisei as she tied her Beyblade case closed. They were at the training hall after another day of practice, but he was only half-focused on his surroundings; his mind kept wandering to how he could find a way to spend time with her outside of their training. Suisei was focused, strong, and often intense, yet over the past few weeks, he had glimpsed a softer side in her rare, candid moments. He had to find the courage to ask her—before he overthought it and backed out.

Swallowing his nerves, Hikaru approached. "Suisei?" His voice sounded a bit shaky, so he cleared his throat, trying to project more confidence. "Hey, are you free tomorrow?"

Suisei blinked, eyebrows raising slightly. "Tomorrow?" She tilted her head, clearly curious. "For what?"

Hikaru felt his cheeks heating up. "I just thought, you know... we could hang out. Outside of training." He tried to give her a casual smile. "Maybe just us... if you'd like that."

A small, surprised smile crept across her lips. "Just us?" She watched him closely, her gaze penetrating as if she could sense his nervousness. Then she nodded, her smile growing. "Alright, Hikaru. Where are you planning to take me?"

"Well, there's this spot at the park..." He rubbed the back of his neck. "It's quiet, nice at sunset. We could just relax. No Beyblade or training, just us hanging out." He hesitated, glancing at her. "We don't have to tell anyone if you don't want to."

She laughed softly, the sound sending a warm thrill through him. "Are you asking me on a secret outing?" Her tone was light, almost teasing, but the glint in her eyes was unmistakably interested. "Alright, Hikaru. I'll meet you there. But don't keep me waiting."

"Wouldn't dream of it," he replied, grinning despite his racing heart.

The following evening, Hikaru arrived early, standing by the small pond he'd chosen as their meeting spot. The setting sun cast a warm, golden glow across the water, and a few fireflies had begun to dance around the edges of the trees. He took a few deep breaths, hoping the peaceful scene might calm his nerves. As he waited, he adjusted his jacket, smoothing out nonexistent wrinkles.

When Suisei finally arrived, Hikaru felt like the breath had been knocked out of him. Dressed casually, with her hair down and a soft smile on her face, she looked different—more approachable, yet still carrying that grace and confidence he admired.

She took in the view, her strawberry pink eyes sparkling in the fading sunlight. "Hikaru, I didn't know you had such good taste in scenery," she said, a playful lilt in her voice.

They sat on a bench overlooking the pond, a comfortable silence settling between them as they watched the colors of the sunset ripple across the water. They started talking about their lives beyond Beyblade—their favorite foods, childhood memories, even the fears and insecurities they usually kept hidden. Hikaru found himself laughing at Suisei's stories of her early ballet days, imagining a younger version of her stumbling through her first lessons. The laughter eased his nerves, and he could feel them growing closer with each story shared.

"So... how is ballet right now?"

She nodded a silent okay, a faraway look in her eyes. "Ballet is like a dance with yourself. There's no competition, no opponent. It's just you and the music." Her voice softened, and she glanced at him. "It lets me be... real."

Hikaru was quiet, absorbing her words. "I mean, i've seen so myself. I think Beyblade is that way for me, too," he admitted, his voice low. "It's where I get to be my best self."
