Lan Wangji touched Ian tentatively, his fingers caressing his hair, his cheek, his lips, his neck , his chest, his belly and downwards. Wei Ying shivered at the touch. The realization that this was his Lan Zhan, his Lan Wangji excited him more. These were the same hands that had once refused to touch him, dangling over Billing lake, holding him up by the collar and now these hands were hungry to touch him, feel him, explore him.

"Your core is flaring up," Lan Wangji noted.

"There is a form of Yin energy most cultivators avoid using, the most potent form of feminine energy between heaven and earth, one more powerful than resentment and wrath," Wei Ying explained.

Lan Wangji was confused. "If it is so powerful why haven't I experienced it?" he asked.

"You have. You just haven't circulated it to your Yellow Court because you never saw it as energy. But truth is that every energy that flows through our meridians and every emotion that passes through our consciousness is qi that can be transformed to shen. The more shen we store in the Dantian, the stronger is our core," Wei Ying explained.

Lan Wangji suddenly realized why Wei Wuxian is considered the Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation. He knows more in his two lifetimes of little over forty years when put together than Lan Wangji was able to discover in his four thousand. "What is the source of this energy and where is it usually stored?" Lan Wangji asked, a student seeking answers from his teacher.

"The energy source is love and it is stored in the Crimson Palace where it is directly transformed into Shen. The only qi gong you need for it is compassion and loving kindness. Your revelation flared up my love for you and as  my meridians are more adapted to the flow of ying qi, that love moved over to my yellow court, fueling my golden core." he explained.

"Then the more I love you should be the stronger your golden core grows," Lan Wangji theorized.

"That's a possibility," Wei Ying surmised.

"Do you remember our first kiss?" Lan Wangji asked.

"How can I not?" Wei Ying replied.

"Well, your eyes were tied and you came over to tell me that no one would ever kiss me," Lan Wangji reminded.

Wei Ying looked confused till his eyes widened in realization. "Lan Zhan, you villain, you stole my first kiss by force," he exclaimed.

"It wasn't your first kiss. You told me you had a lot of experience. But it was our first kiss," Lan Wangji insisted.

"Did you really believe everything the old me uttered? I was busy training Yunmeng Jiang in my youth and then I gave up my golden core and ended up dying in the Burial Mounds. When the resentment energy put me together I had a one point agenda and that was revenge. I was contract bound. I couldn't think anything else. After that I felt the resentment trying to overpower me till I finally lost control. In between all of this where do you see me having a love life?" he challenged.

" I loved you," Lan Wangji reminded him.

"You were Lan er gongzi. How many people would have taken you as a cutsleeve at that point in time?" Wei Wuxian argued.

"You have a point. Let me feel it again," Lan Wangji urged. Wei Ying's Dantian was throbbing with Yin energy. Lan Wangji absorbed some of it while pouring in his Yang energy as their lips met. Wei Ying saw stars behind his closed eyes which soon took the shape of galaxies and then he saw the universe.

"So you did find him," a voice greeted them from the centre of the universe.

Hanguangjun stood beside him robed in white and blue, the ancient uniform of Gusu Lan. Wei Wuxian noted that he was dressed in black and red. "It's too early for him," Lan Wangji replied.
