The sound of helicopter blades reached his ears, which Jimmy tried to wave away, but to no avail. The blades approached, buzzing so that his eardrums throbbed, sending a warning signal of danger, which made Jimmy have to open his eyes against his will and look around. He was lying face down on a creaking sofa, which was no softer than a mat, and dried traces of his saliva remained on the material, which even from a distance did not resemble leather. Jimmy thanked the Buddha that this was the only thing that happened to him, and not something more embarrassing. One side of him was numb from lying in one position for a long time, his stomach was rumbling, asking him to feed him normal food. Rising up, he sat down on the couch again, trying unsuccessfully to straighten his back and looked around. He was still in the karaoke room, and the helicopter blades turned out to be a cleaner's vacuum cleaner.

The young woman who noticed him turned off the vacuum cleaner, looking him up and down. Jimmy knew he looked as disgusting as he felt. He ran his dry tongue across the roof of his mouth, feeling a bitter aftertaste.

All the drinks and snacks from yesterday had already been cleared from the tables in the karaoke room, and the floor was perfectly clean, except for the place where Jimmy slept tonight. And yet he couldn't help but ask the woman,

"What happened?"

Her face looked surprised, as if he himself couldn't imagine what could have happened and why he was left to spend the night in a karaoke room.

"Your supervisor begged the manager to let you sleep here since none of your colleagues knew where you lived." The woman shrugged, looking angry because he was interfering with her work.

Jimmy scratched his head in shame. It sounded corny, but he had never done such a thing and did not think he was capable of being in this kind of situation. Probably, everything really happens for the first time. I wonder what his colleagues thought of him when they saw him in such a state? Or, Jimmy hoped, did they end the evening not much different in physical condition from him?

No longer intending to detain the woman from her work, Jimmy fumbled in his pants pocket for his car keys and phone, and taking the latter in his hands, he bowed to the woman and left the karaoke. The sun was shining outside and a new working day was beginning. Thinking about the fact that he would have to sit in the office today, Jimmy shuddered. As he walked to the parking lot where he left his car, he covered his eyes with one hand to protect himself from the sun, and unlocked his phone with the other, looking through messages. A bunch of messages from Una, he didn't even want to open them, knowing perfectly well about their contents. After getting into the car, Jimmy sighed several times, and then cautiously looked at himself in the rearview mirror. Oh gods, it looked like it had been pickled in sake to be served later. It was good that he had some time left to get home and tidy himself up before going to work. Jimmy turned on the air conditioner, which blew a stream of hot air over him. Damn, he forgot that his air conditioner was faulty. Muttering that he needed to fix the cooling system as soon as possible, he opened the windows in the car and drove out onto the highway.

He was lucky to wake up early, as the main streets were not yet filled with cars rushing to work. Jimmy's head was buzzing with pain, and he kept touching his temples with one hand to rub them a little, however, not really hoping for relief.

The huge family home greeted him with deafening silence. Jimmy went up to Yin's room, but did not find his son there, then he went to his sister's room. As soon as he crossed the threshold, he received a portion of excellent curses from his older sister. She was sitting at the dressing table, but when she saw him, she turned around abruptly and stuck out her finger, pointing at him.

"Do you know what a fuss your son made yesterday, Jimmy!? This is unbearable! He kept me up all night! I hate noise, you know that. Noise is contraindicated for me!" In contrast to her words, Una spoke loudly, breaking into a scream, that Jimmy did not hesitate to put his hands over his ears until Una finished her eternal complaints.
