Hyunjin's body moved with precise strength and skill, every muscle rippling under his taut skin as he drove through his training routine in the dim light of the kingdom's training hall. His chest glistened with sweat, his breaths controlled yet intense, pushing himself to the edge as he dodged and struck, his movements a near-perfect dance of power. He was caught in the rhythm, focused and tireless, until he felt the subtle pull of eyes on him from across the hall.

He turned, and there was Felix, standing just outside the training ring, an appreciative gleam in his eyes that softened into a warm, almost shy smile as their gazes met. Hyunjin smirked, his eyes glinting with amusement and something deeper. Felix, unfazed by the unspoken challenge in Hyunjin's expression, spread his wings wide. They shimmered, pure and ethereal, catching the dim light and radiating a soft, otherworldly glow. With a playful flick of his feathers, Felix lifted off, hovering just out of Hyunjin's reach.

Not one to let a chance pass him by, Hyunjin chuckled, shaking his head before taking off after his husband. His powerful strides brought him into the air, muscles straining as he closed the distance between them. Felix darted just beyond him, his laughter a soft melody, daring Hyunjin to catch him. Hyunjin's eyes gleamed with determination as he gave chase, the chase becoming a game, both of them weaving through the shadowed arches, a flash of light and darkness intertwined.

Finally, with a quick burst of speed, Hyunjin managed to close the gap, his arms sliding around Felix's waist as he brought them gently back to the ground. He held Felix carefully, his touch tender but firm, as if Felix were some delicate, precious thing. Felix leaned into him, a smile lighting his face as he rested his head on Hyunjin's shoulder.

Hyunjin's fingers traced softly over Felix's wings, marveling at their silken feel as they sparkled under his touch. Each feather caught the light in a cascade of shimmering silver, angelic and pure against the backdrop of the dark kingdom. His thumb traced gentle circles over the base of one wing, drawing a shiver from Felix, who sighed contentedly under the affectionate touch.

"Caught you," Hyunjin murmured, a low, warm chuckle rumbling through his chest.

Felix's eyes glinted with mischief, but his voice was soft, almost a whisper. "Maybe I wanted you to catch me."

Hyunjin's heart swelled as he pressed a gentle kiss to Felix's forehead, their foreheads resting together as they held each other. In that moment, with Felix's wings spread around them in a gentle cocoon of light, the world seemed to still. There was no battle to prepare for, no pain or grief to conquer, only the warmth of each other, safe in the quiet tenderness of their love.

Chan groaned as he slowly woke up, rubbing a hand across his tired eyes as the dull throb of a hangover settled over him. He blinked in the dim morning light, vaguely aware of Changbin's presence nearby. The night before was mostly a blur, memories hazy and scattered from too much drinking.

"Ugh... what happened last night?" Chan asked, rubbing his forehead with a wince.

Changbin chuckled lightly, trying to keep his voice steady. "Not much," he said smoothly, masking the ache in his own chest. "You just knocked out. I just made sure you didn't roll off the couch, that's all."

Chan gave him a lopsided grin, clearly relieved. "Guess I owe you one. Thanks, man."

Changbin just nodded, holding his composure as he casually shrugged. "No worries."

Yet inside, Changbin's heart weighed heavy. He'd spent the night beside the man he'd loved in silence, watching as Chan's head had drifted to his shoulder in sleep. The memory clung to him, that tender, fleeting moment that felt both like a comfort and a wound. He tried to shake it off as he got up, keeping his face neutral.
