DAY 5
It was technically day five as it was over midnight. Jake had woke me up by shaking the bed but that was the worst he could have done. I felt like vomiting. I ran down the bed and into the washroom. There I vomited. I had apparently not liked the pig bone. That is what I thought it was until I saw that my toe was bigger and bluer than usual. I had been probably poisoned due to the crab's bite.
I went back into my bedroom. "Looks like you are not feeling well." Jake said.
"Yeah..." I mumbled.
"Should I wake up Lilly?"
"Go on but don't wake up Mr. or Mrs. Derving. I am sorry."
Jake went outside the room. I looked out of the window. It was a clear sky. Lilly came running into our room. She saw me sitting on the bed and kneeled down to face me.
"Are you okay?" She whispered. She checked my temperature with her hand. Her hands were cold. That meant I had fever.
"It is mild!" said Jake. That is the best I could have expected from him. Lilly stood up and said "You should sleep."
"That is not what we woke you up for." Jake said.
"Then?"
"We wanted to look at the sky through the telescope." I mumbled.Lilly looked astonished. "You sure? You shouldn't go and use it. I am against it. " she asked me. I cheered up and saw her a thumbs up. She, however looked unassured.
We went outside and crawled up to the observations room. We tried to open the door.
"Pass me..." said Jake.
"What?" Lilly and I said in monotone.
"The key!" Jake whispered.
"I don't have the key." I said.
"Nor do I." Lilly added.
"But don't you always have it?" Jake looked frustrated.
"No, I just take it from mother's room whenever I need to."
"Oh no......" I said.
"Now, Lilly, go and get the keys."
"No, I won't."
"Go..."
"No..."
"Listen, I will go." I said. Jake and Lilly looked at each other.
Jake said an assured "Yes." While Lilly went with "No, he is ill."
"I will." I said and walked down the stairs. The stairs creaked. To this, as I reached the bottom, Bruno came and started wiggling his tail. He was holding......... a pig's bone. I ran back up and hurriedly said "Plan failed!" I was then once again vomiting in the washroom. I could hear Lilly scold Bruno. I then came back. Jake offered me a chocolate and then said "Be a man." O felt his words and felt better.
This time Lilly went down. The stairs didn't creak this time. She probably has experience on secretly walking up and down the stairs. Though I wonder why.
She returned with the keys in like three minutes. She looked beautiful in the moonlight. We opened the door and entered the room. It was glorious. The radium had lit the whole room green. It looked magical. Moreover the spherical glass showed an even more magical shade of green. Even the sky was bright. The room was still dusty though.Jake went over to the telescope and said it will take him time to set it right. Lilly and I sat on two old chairs. I looked at how Jake was setting up the telescope but secretly felt someone was watching me. "There it is," he said, "You can now see Andromeda."
