Saying thanks to the ones with the battle scares
You went up and beyond the stars
Before it became a war
No longer being able to tame the battle that you saw
You fought for a higher cause
People began to stop and pause
And watch how evil humans can be
Too see a separation because of color
The loss of freedom
But you stood up and assured us
Above all You couldn't ignore it
Backing up how you felt
And now we celebrate you
For not being afraid
You stopped the pain
So that we remain to
Have what we have today
