Chapter 2

EVERYONES PoV

Dear Mrs. Sophie Elizabeth Foster,                  

 Your project has been given approval. After further thought, we shall call it Project Interstellar. Now we must come to discuss your team mates. 

1. Fitzroy Avery Vacker, 2. Biana Amberly Vacker, 3. Tam Dai Song, 4. Linh Hai Song, 5. Keefe Sencen, 6. Dex Dizznee, 7. Marella Redek.

The people involved have until tomorrow to remove their name if they request.

Now, we must discuss and urgent matter. You shall be departing on Friday, and returning in a month. We have sent gnomes to each of your and your friends houses to help pack.

Get ready, as you depart tomorrow. 

-TIME SKIP-

"Is everyone ready?"Sophie asked as her friends nodded. 

They drank their elixirs, and it felt like soothing, cold, slime was running down her throat.

It wasn't pleasant.

They entered the space craft, which they toured. Their was a main living room/control centre, living quarters that was divided into girls and boys, and a kitchen and exercise room.

Even after seeing the extravagant lifestyle they would live in the next few days, ( despite being in space ) Sophie couldn't help but feel she was dragging her friends into something, again.

"Woah Mrs. Foster, those are some strong emotions," Keefe said, fanning the air in between them, just like old times. Huh, nostalgia. 

"We all agreed to this Sophie, and we're in this as a team." Sophie tried to smile, as everyone around her nodded, but she couldn't shake the feeling off.

As they sat in their seat in the control room, they waited for the countdown.

1..

The lights went off, and in a split second they were launched into space.

It was beautiful.

And.. surprisingly scary.

Biana gasped, and everyone else was to shocked to speak. The lights flickered on again.

"So. Even after those weeks of astronaut training we did even before the councils approval,what do we do now?" Tam said, from his seat beside Bianas.

"I honestly. That time when our parents took us to space, I didn't remember a lot besides visiting Jupiter and trying to breathe in the breathing device." Fitz said.

Sophies brows furrowed together before she could stop it. She kept trying to remember  , travelling in space was a luxury for elves.

"Maybe we should go to bed. It's getting late, by elven time." Marella suggested.

Sophie drifted away with her thoughts.

Why had the council taken so long to approve their request?

What weren't they telling Sophie and her friends?

A thought stuck Sophie harder than lightning.

What if, 

The council knew about another species and only approved now, if they needed to protect the elves from some sort of.. threat?

Everyone agreeing jerked her back to reality.

She held on to Keefes hand, as they ventured further and further into the unknown.

Whatever was out their, needed them.

And they would find it. Before it was too late.

Authors Note; So so sooo sorry for ghosting you for three days, I was experiencing writers block, I'm so sorry, but I'll post another chapter tomorrow to make up for it and it will be longer than this I promise, I'll try to keep it at least 700 words. Thank you for clicking on this unfortunately short chapter.
