The following days were filled with an uneasy calm, like the quiet before a storm. Jimin could feel it in the way people looked at him and Jungkook, in the whispers that seemed to follow them down the hallways. It was only a matter of time before Yura made her move.
They spent more time together than ever, clinging to the safety of each other’s presence. Every touch, every word felt loaded, like a promise that no matter what happened, they would face it together.
But Jimin couldn’t shake the feeling that he was waiting for something to explode.
It came on a Thursday afternoon.
Jimin was sitting in the library, trying to focus on an assignment, when his phone buzzed. At first, he ignored it, thinking it was just another message from Jungkook checking in. But when the buzzing became more insistent, he finally glanced at the screen.
His heart dropped into his stomach.
It was a flood of notifications—messages from friends, classmates, and even numbers he didn’t recognize. But the one that caught his eye was from an unknown number. The text read:
*“You should know who you’re dating. Check the campus forum.”*
Jimin’s hands trembled as he clicked on the link provided. The page loaded slowly, his anxiety mounting with each passing second. When it finally appeared, his breath caught in his throat.
There it was—a post detailing Jungkook’s past relationships, complete with photos and screenshots of texts. Some of the messages were from girls accusing Jungkook of using them, ghosting them, or leading them on. The comments were already piling up, people speculating about who Jungkook was now and if Jimin knew what he was getting himself into.
The headline was like a punch to the gut: *“Bad Boy Jeon Jungkook: Serial Heartbreaker Exposed!”*
Jimin’s blood ran cold as he scrolled through the comments, a mixture of pity, mockery, and outright cruelty.
*“Poor Jimin, he must have no idea.”*
*“Once a player, always a player. Wonder how long until he breaks this one’s heart too.”*
*“Didn’t think Jimin was his type. Guess he likes to try new things.”*
Jimin’s vision blurred with a mixture of anger and worry. He stood up so abruptly that his chair scraped loudly against the floor, drawing a few curious glances from nearby students. He needed to find Jungkook. Now.

**Jungkook’s POV**
Jungkook was in the middle of a workout at the campus gym when he saw the first few messages pop up on his phone. Ignoring them, he focused on his routine, trying to work off the nervous energy that had been eating at him since his last conversation with Yura. But then, a call from Taehyung came through.
“Jungkook, where are you?” Taehyung’s voice sounded urgent, almost panicked.
“I’m at the gym. Why? What’s going on?” Jungkook asked, wiping sweat from his forehead.
“You need to see the campus forum. Right now.”
Jungkook’s stomach twisted as he grabbed his phone and opened the link Taehyung sent him. As he scrolled through the post, his breath grew shallow. There it was—everything Yura had threatened to do, out in the open. His past, his mistakes, laid bare for everyone to see. And Jimin…
His heart hammered in his chest. He needed to find Jimin.
He barely registered the world around him as he sprinted out of the gym, his feet pounding against the pavement. He headed straight for Jimin’s dorm, his mind racing with a mixture of dread and fury. He wasn’t sure what he was going to say—how he was going to explain all of this—but he knew he couldn’t let Jimin face this alone.
When he reached Jimin’s building, he spotted him outside, pacing back and forth with his phone in hand. His face was pale, his expression a mixture of shock and concern.
“Jimin!” Jungkook called out, his voice breathless as he ran up to him.
Jimin looked up, his eyes wide but not with anger—more like a worried understanding. “Jungkook, I saw the post,” he said, his voice tight with emotion. “Are you okay?”
Jungkook’s heart clenched at the unexpected softness in Jimin’s tone. “I’m sorry, Jimin. I wanted to protect you from all this. I didn’t want you to see that side of me.”
Jimin took a step closer, his eyes searching Jungkook's face. “Why didn’t you tell me this was going to happen?”
“I thought I could handle it. I thought I could stop her before it got this far,” Jungkook said, his voice raw with frustration. “I didn’t want you to think I was still that person. I didn’t want to lose you.”
Jimin’s expression softened, his anger melting away into something tender. “Jungkook, you don’t have to hide anything from me. I’m here because I want to be, flaws and all. And if people are going to talk, let them. I know who you really are.”
Before Jungkook could respond, Jimin stepped forward, closing the distance between them. He reached up, cupping Jungkook’s face with both hands, his thumbs brushing against his cheeks. “I’m not going anywhere,” Jimin whispered, his breath warm against Jungkook’s lips. “I trust you.”
And then, he leaned in and kissed him.
Jungkook froze for a moment, caught off guard by the intensity of Jimin’s lips against his own. But then he melted into it, his hands finding their way to Jimin’s waist, pulling him closer. The kiss was desperate, a silent promise that no matter what came their way, they would face it together. It was everything he hadn’t realized he needed—a reminder that Jimin was by his side, no matter what.
When they finally pulled away, Jimin rested his forehead against Jungkook’s, his breath ragged. “We’ll deal with Yura together, okay? No more trying to handle things on your own.”
Jungkook nodded, his heart pounding. “Together,” he agreed, his voice thick with emotion. “I promise.”
Jimin gave him a small, reassuring smile, his eyes still filled with determination. “Let’s go inside. We have a lot to talk about.”
As they headed back to Jimin’s dorm, Jungkook felt a newfound resolve settle over him. He wasn’t going to let Yura win, and he wasn’t going to let his past define his future with Jimin. Not when they had come this far.
And as they sat down together to plan their next move, Jungkook knew one thing for certain: with Jimin by his side, he could face anything.
