Harper shoved her phone into her pocket, running her hands through her hair anxiously. She'd called Selene, and then called her again, and again, until she'd lost count. Each time she had to listen to ringing until the line cut off deepened the pit in her stomach. She tried to keep a positive outlook, to convince herself there was reasonable explanation, though she couldn't shake the dread settling in her heart.
"Is she still not picking up?" Scott asked, catching Harper off guard. She turned to look at him, shaking her head softly, fidgeting with the silver rings on her fingers, letting out a small sigh.
The sun cast a soft glow over the empty street as the pair sat on the curb, waiting for Stiles to pick them up. The McCall boy had retreated back into his earlier position, head in his hands and shoulders tense with worry.
Harper could almost feel his anxiety swirling around them like a dark cloud. It turned out the loud crash she'd heard had been Peter Hale, throwing a chair at Deaton before threatening Allison, ensuring Scott heard every word before leaving.
Harper wasn't exactly her number one fan, she was far from it, but she also understood that Allison was just a teenage girl who deserved to live her life away from all the supernatural bullshit. To just live her life. She was obviously still extremely weary of the Argent but from the looks of it, she wasn't a hunter, at least not yet.
The sound of screeching tires broke the silence, Stiles's Jeep speeding around the corner before coming to an abrupt halt. The driver's door quickly swung open, Stiles jumping out of it as Scott and Harper jumped to their feet relieved to see their friend in front of them.
"Scott! Harper!" He exclaimed as he rushed over to them. He pulled Scott into a quick yet tight hug, and then turned to Harper, his worried gaze softening ever so slightly. His eyes glazed over her face, taking in all cuts before he glanced down at her blood stained shirt the concern instantly finding its way back to his face.
"What happened?" He questioned looking between Scott and Harper.
The Everheart girl pressed her lips into a thin line looking over at McCall boy, silently urging him to explain the horrors of what happened last night. Scott took a shaky breath before beginning, head dropping for a moment.
"The hunters attacked us." He began, tripping over his words as he continued, "It was out of nowhere. I got hit with wolfsbane and Harper showed up and got shot too. Well actually, before that Derek was trying to attack Jackson"
