Aftermath

Its some time after 10 Pm, Yuji's walking back to his dorm after going on a brief walk alone. He was contemplating whether or not he should try and force himself out of love with Kugisaki, she said she liked him as a friend. maybe it was not meant to be ‘forever’ between them, and it truly was supposed to be just a ‘one time thing’. Yuji can’t believe how unlucky he was to fall in love with a girl that he knew most likely saw him as some sort of sibling. However, that isn’t the case. He fell in love with a girl that fell in love with him. Both of them were just too stubborn and too scared to admit it.

It was as this moment when Yuji reached a distance several meters from his Dorm’s door

this was when Gojo suddenly appeared in front of the door
spotting the student instantly, Gojo smiled at the pink haired boy
“Hey Yuji, How was it?”
Satoru asks the student

Yuji sighs, remembering every event that took place tonight as he walked closer to his teacher
”it was good, then really good, then…really…really…REALLY bad…”

“Start with the good then, What happened?”

“well, we looked at the stars…and I saw a bunch of heart shaped constellations. Which I thought was a sign by something that it was the moment me and her would confess. We laid down in the grass together, and she eventually got tired enough to lean against me. And eventually, wrap her arms around me. She had her head on my chest and everything…”

”how cliche and cute…”
he chuckled with a sly smile, as if saying ‘congratulations’ with no words, just his smile

Yuji sighs, Despite knowing the next events were something he really enjoyed. He couldn’t help but feel disappointed, and saddened
”after she hugged onto me, I said her name, to try and get her attention…and she said…she said she loved me…and then we fell asleep at the park together….”

”how come it got bad? Did a curse interrupt you two?”
He asked with concern, his sly smile fading

“That's what happened next…When I woke up, she was sitting up beside me, looking at me like she saw a ghost. She told me everything she said and did was an accident because she was half asleep and didn't think before she acted..and like the idiot i am, and after what you told me..I asked her if she meant it when she said she loved me…”

”oh, no i understand itadori…don't continue. But… I promise you, she definitely lied. She knew it was you she was with and so any actions she made, she knew you were the receiver, so her following through with saying that means she really does love y-“

“She said she loved me as a friend. So she meant it, yeah. But not to the extent i had hoped for”
Yuji replied with disappointment tainting his voice.

“She’s just as scared as you are for the same reason’s Itadori, she doesn’t want to lose you as a friend…”
Satoru attempts to explain to Itadori that he does have a chance to date kugisaki. But he knows his attempts to reassure his student are futile now.

“I can’t listen to you. Maki was right, I shouldn't have listened. I almost ruined my friendship with her because I planned on confessing to her then and there. Because you told me i should”

”you told me you were willing to risk it, Itadori, you said you were planning on risking it anyway. You can’t blame me”
He reminds the pink haired boy

”…you’re right…and I’m an idiot for that.”
Yuji sighs, looking away. thinking about what happened on his ‘date’ with Kugisaki was taking a toll on his mood. He honestly just wanted to go to sleep now
”I kinda don't want to talk about it anymore…it happened, it didn’t work out. I want to get over it, over her…”

Gojo seemed to focus on something else, as if something flooded his mind randomly. Yuji took note of this. And waved in front of Gojo’s face. An attempted to regain his attention
”Gojo…? You okay?”

Satoru’s eyes move to Itadori’s as he seemingly regains his awareness. But he nods. A smile on his face that was bright enough to make Itadori feel slightly better after the whole incident with Kugisaki
“Sorry, I had something else on my mind. But I heard you. And I understand, I'm sorry that your date with her flopped in the end, but hey…if it’s meant to be, then something will happen to give you both what you want. So don't lose hope just yet”
Satoru reassures his student, a hand placing itself on Itadori’s shoulder to strengthen the effect of his words
”I’ll see you tomorrow, I’ll see if i can get an assignment going for you so you have a distraction. Okay? okay bye-“
he vanishes before Itadori could say anything else. Which surprised the student.

Yuji didnt know why Gojo seemed to be in a hurry, but nonetheless, he opens the door to his dorm after a moment. Releasing a sigh as he walked over to his bed. Plopping down on the cushioned padding of the mattress

he almost drifts off after was was close to 10 minutes after his talk with his teacher. But a vibrating sensation made itself present on his abdomen

It was his phone, signaling a notification

he repositions himself. Pulling his phone out from under himself. Turning his phone on. And checking the notification.
”she texted…”
he says to himself. Clicking the notification to open his phone. But he’s greeted with something he didn’t expect

‘your password is required to enable Touch ID‘
He doesn’t pay much attention to this however. inputting the password to see the text from the girl he fell in love with days prior

Reading this text, he’s flooded with feelings of both happiness, and guiltiness, a feeling of happiness had an obvious origin. Kugisaki’s text. But the guilt, that formed after he realized Gojo was right, and that he really did have a chance with Kugisaki

it takes a moment before he replies, deciding not to hide his feelings for this girl anymore

he waits a few moments, but he never receives an answer. But he only Assumes she turned her phone off to finally attempt to sleep. So he does the same. Drifting off with his thoughts of kugisaki preparing to cloud his dreams
