The AU took place where The Second Coming first saw the minecraft block and how Red got possessed.
When Herobrine was possessing Red, it caused a few malfunction and corruptions on Red's Code, so the moment Herobrine got deleted Red's code also got deleted in the process causing Red to die immediately.
The moment Red died, his code was still corrupt at that time so that's way his appearance seems a bit glitched and corrupted. A little information about stickfigures, when stickfigures die, the color of their body becomes paler. So when Red died his color became paler. That's why his appearance is currently pale
At first, Red was confused about what happened but once he realized he was dead, he worried for his friends. So in Alan's PC Red is always there, roaming around and checking on his friends hoping they were all alright. His friends did change, mostly The Second Coming as he was more protective of his friends. He doesn't want anyone touching Alan's games in the PC slot or letting his friends go somewhere else to another world, in fear that his friend might get injured or even worse, die
Red couldn't really do anything as a ghost but all he can do is teleport and communicate with animals, only animals can see him as Red can appear and disappear whenever he wants but only for the animals.
The moment Red died, The Second Coming waited for Alan to come back online on his PC and once he was online, The Second Coming asked help from Alan if he could revive Red and restore his code. It didn't work at first but after many many tries, the last try almost worked but it also failed like the rest of their tries. Meaning they didn't successfully restored Red back to life as he was now permanently dead.
