RING RING RING

I reach over and silence the annoying alarm. Turning over in bed and letting out a moan I bring my hands to my face and try to wipe the sleep away.

Uuugghhhhhhh. It's so early. 7am. Maybe just like two more minutes. I turn back over and get pull the covers over my head to drown out the light.

"TYLER!!!" Someone comes crashing into my room. I jerk the blanket off of my head being careful not to uncover my stomach. Great it's Zack.

"Come on let me see your mark!!" He persists. He grabs the blanket and try's to pull it but I hold a tight grip on it.

"Careful there you might get scarred for life." I chuckle.

"I wanna see! Where is it? How does it look? Are you happy?"

"Ugh Zack come on now it's too early."

"But TyTy-"

"Give me five minutes and I'll be down okay."

"Fine but hurry!" He turns to leave the room giving me a chance to get up. I go back over to my mirror and look at myself and the mark once again to make sure it was still there and i didn't imagine the placement. I trace the mark delicately again as a grin creeped upon my face. I turn and move over to my dresser to rummage through the drawers to compile an outfit and throw it on. Okay let's go downstairs and face the bombarding.

"Alright Zack here we go." I say as I reach the bottom of the stairs. The rest of my family is already at the table eating breakfast. Luckily my mark was in a spot where I just pull over the collar of my shirt and reveal the black mark. I make my way over to them.

"Alright son, let's see it." Dad says. I bite my lip to hide the big smile that's playing at my lips. Pulling at the collar I reveal the mark.

Mom lets out a gasp "Oh my goodness son! A full handprint!" She claps "do you know how lucky that is!?" They all gather around me. Zack reaches up to touch it.

"It's real!" He says.

"Of course it's real you doofus. Why would I fake my mark?" I give him a playful shove.

"I'm happy for you son." Dad says and pulls me into a hug. It's a tight squeeze that pressures my bruised stomach and I wince at the pain. Hopefully he didn't notice that.

"Okay okay guys I'm gonna go finish getting ready for school now." I wave my hands up and turn to start walking back to my room but my mother interjects.

"Oh I figured you'd stay home today and we celebrate a little bit." Wait they're going to let me skip school? They've never let me skip on my birthday before.

"Really?!" I try to play it cool but it came out in an excited tone.

"Of course honey. Your eighteenth birthday is really special. You can go back to sleep if you want and we'll celebrate later." She offers. Oh my god this is like the best. If my stomach was ripped to hell it would be even better.

"Does that mean we get to stay home too?" Jay asks.

"Nope." Dad cuts.

"Awwww mannnnn." Jay hangs his head.

And I took that as my cue to leave and head back upstairs into my cozy bed and catch some more sleep.

A/N:

I know it's another short chapter but I want to switch over to third person pov and I figured it would be easiest if I started it into a new chapter. Also If anyone is actually reading this I just want to say thank you. Writing used to be my happy place but I lost motivation a few years ago but I suddenly wanted to pick it back up and I figured this would be a good platform. If you're reading this tell me what your favorite song is.
