The moment I ended the call, my mind was spinning. Yn was in an accident. The words echoed in my head, but I could barely process them. My hands shook as I quickly scrolled through my contacts and dialed her father. It took him a few rings to answer, and his usual warmth was there in his voice when he greeted me.

"Hello, Taehyung?"

But I couldn't match his calm. "Sir... there's been an accident. It's Yn—she's been hurt," I managed, my voice breaking.

There was a moment of silence as he absorbed the news. Then his voice turned urgent. "Where is she?"

"The hospital. I'm heading there now. I'll meet you there," I replied, already halfway out the door.

I raced to my car, the world around me blurring. My only thought was Yn, lying there, hurt. As I sped to the hospital, I couldn't help but think of her laughter from the night before, her arm wrapped around me as we rode back, her sleepy smile when we'd said goodbye. How could this be happening?

At the hospital entrance, I jumped out of the car, barely parking it as I sprinted inside. The cold, clinical atmosphere hit me, and I scanned the hall, desperately looking for anyone who could tell me something about Yn.

"Excuse me," I stopped a nurse, my voice shaking. "A woman just arrived—a car accident. Her name is Yn."

She nodded, a look of sympathy crossing her face as she pointed down the hall. "She's in surgery right now. The doctor will come out once they're done."

I muttered a thank-you, barely able to think straight. Surgery. My heart sank, but I forced myself to hold it together. I found a seat in the waiting area, my leg bouncing restlessly. Moments later, Yn's father arrived, and we exchanged a silent nod, neither of us knowing what to say. We sat side by side, every minute feeling like an eternity.

Finally, after what felt like hours, the doctor came out, his expression serious. I jumped to my feet, practically rushing to him. "Doctor, is she... is she okay?"

The doctor looked between me and her father, taking a deep breath. "She's stable. The injuries aren't life-threatening, but she has a fractured wrist and a cut on her head that required a few stitches. She'll need a lot of rest for the next month or so, but she's going to be alright."

Relief crashed over me so intensely that I felt my knees weaken. I swallowed, blinking back tears that had built up during the endless wait. I turned to Yn's father, who seemed equally relieved, his shoulders sagging as he exhaled deeply.

"When can we see her?" he asked.

"She'll be moved to a private room soon. One of you can go in when she's settled," the doctor replied, nodding sympathetically before leaving us to our relief.

After a few moments, her father placed a hand on my shoulder. "Thank you for letting me know. I'll see her first—make sure she's alright—and then you can go in." I nodded, understanding his need to see his daughter.
