Urvi reached her home. As she stepped into the home, the warm glow of the living room enveloped her, dispelling the fatigue of her first day at the office. The aroma of freshly cooked dinner wafted through the air, tantalizing her taste buds.
"Urvi, finally you came!" Divya exclaimed, her voice infused with joy, as she rushed towards her niece with open arms. Nitin followed closely, his eyes sparkling with excitement.
"We were waiting for you only, beta," Nitin said, his deep voice filled with affection, as he wrapped his arm around Urvi's shoulders.
Urvi's face lit up with a warm smile as she hugged her aunt and uncle.
Divya's expression turned concerned as she caressed Urvi's cheek. "Why were you so late, beta? You must be exhausted."
"Sorry, for the late. There was a lot of work at the office." Urvi said pressing her lips.
Nitin intervened, his tone soothing. "Sometimes it happens at the office, don't worry." Urvi nodded in agreement.
Divya raised an eyebrow. "But who gets so much work done on the first day?"
Urvi chuckled. "My sweet Chachi, it's a big company, na? There's always something to do."
Divya rolled her eyes good-naturedly. "Acha baba, okay. Now let's get to the dining table. You must be hungry."
Urvi's stomach growled in anticipation. "Yes, I'm very hungry."
"Then lets go." Nitin said and guided her to the dining table, his hand on her shoulder. As they sat down, Urvi noticed Mihika's empty chair.
"Chachi, where's Mihika? Doesn't she want to eat?" Urvi asked, concern etched on her face.
Divya smiled reassuringly. "Arey, Urvi, she already had her food. You eat."
Urvi nodded and they began their meal, the clinking of utensils and gentle chatter filling the air.
As they ate, Nitin and Divya asked Urvi about her day, listening attentively to her stories.
After finishing their meal, Divya spoke up, her eyes sparkling. "Urvi, we did some shopping for your wedding festivities today. I wanted to show you, but I think you should take rest now. I'll show you tomorrow."
Urvi's face lit up. "Sure, Chachi."
As Urvi rose from her seat, Divya's gaze lingered on her niece's radiant smile.
"I want her smile to remain like this forever," Divya whispered to Nitin.
Nitin's expression softened. "Don't worry, Divya. She'll be happy. Arnav will make her happy."
Divya smiled, her eyes shining with tears.
Meanwhile, upstairs, Mihika stood in the corridor, watching the scene unfold below. Her face remained emotionless, but her grip on the railing tightened looking at her parents concern for Urvi.
With a swift turn, Mihika disappeared into her room, leaving the warmth of the dining table behind.
