As Ekansh's lips hovered over Urvi's, the tension between them was palpable. But before their lips could meet, the door burst open, its wooden frame creaking in protest. Aayansh stood in the doorway, his eyes wide with shock.
Urvi and Ekansh looked behind to witness Aayansh. Urvi took the chance and swiftly pushed Ekansh away, her face flushing with embarrassment and anxiety. She dashed out of the office, the sound of her heels clicking on the marble floor echoed through the room.
Aayansh's gaze followed Urvi's hasty exit before snapping back to Ekansh. "What was this act?" Aayansh asked, his voice laced with disbelief.
Ekansh raised an eyebrow. "What act?"
Aayansh's nostrils flared. "The act you were committing with her!" He took a step closer, his brows furrowed.
Ekansh shrugged, moving toward his desk. "You didn't let me finish."
Aayansh's eyes narrowed. "Seriously, Ekansh, have you gone nuts?"
"Did you see how terrified she was?" Aayansh pressed on.
Ekansh leaned forward, hands on the table. "So what?"
Aayansh rolled his eyes. "What has that innocent girl done to you?" His voice dripped with sympathy.
Ekansh's expression turned cold. "She's the same girl who slapped me publicly."
Aayansh's eyes widened. There was pin drop silence for a while. "What?... Seriously?" Aayansh exclaimed still in shock.
Ekansh's teeth gritted. "Yes."
Aayansh struggled to comprehend. "Okay, fine. She slapped you, but maybe she didn't know you're her boss."
Ekansh glared. "Are you my friend or hers? Why defend her?"
"I'm not supporting her," Aayansh said. "It's just that she seems naive; maybe she acted unknowingly."
Ekansh's voice turned icy. "Knowingly or unknowingly, I don't care. Whoever messes with me will face consequences. You know I never forgets and never forgives."
Aayansh shook his head. "Fine!" He exclaimed ."Take your meds." He placed a medication packet on the table.
"You are here to give me medicines?" He asked raising his eyebrow.
Aayansh nodded giving a plastic smile.
"You gave these to me?" Ekansh asked again.
Aayansh eyebrows furrowed, "yes, ofcourse didn't you see."
"Then why are you standing here, get lost." Ekansh said sarcastically.
Aayansh's jaw dropped. "You're so mean. Such a beast."
"Of course." Ekansh's sarcasm dripped.
"I'm going. No interest in gossiping with you." Aayansh turned to leave.
As he exited, Aayansh threw a narrowed glance over his shoulder.
Ekansh raised an eyebrow.
Aayansh approached Ekansh again, delivering a light punch on the arm. "Ouch" Ekansh winced in pain," you Oberoi" he shouted as Aayansh left the office.
He caressed his arm, shaking his head in disbelief.
