Do you want to meet all my monsters?
Think you're tough, I know they'll drive you bonkers
Meet them once and they'll forever haunt ya
There's no heroes or villains in this place
Just shadows that dance in my headspace
Leaving nothing but phantoms in their wake

I find myself trapped in a dark underground prison surrounded by others who like me live in constant fear of death or worse. Crimson splatter crawls up the dungeon walls, painting them with the poisonous color. The guards who keep us captive are cruel and indifferent, their eyes dead to the suffering they inflicted.

One fateful day, a guard approaches our cells, a sickening grin on his face as he unlocks the bars. We exchange fearful glances unsure of what this visit might mean. Behind him, a man enters the dungeon. One look at him and I can tell he does not belong here. His pristine clothes a stark contrast to this deprived place. His expression betrays a deep dissatisfaction with something unseen. The nauseating smell of his cologne is a welcome relief after the stench of rusted metal bars and mold.

The guard, noticing his displeasure, quickly assured him "The kids are only dirty because they haven't been washed" he says with a hint of flattery. The man's gaze wander and then still as he points toward a girl with dark hair without hesitation "That one" he orders.

I watch in terror as the guard callously drags Steph towards the man. 'Steph' I mutter, my body trembling uncontrollably. Steph is roughly thrown at the man's feet. He smiles down at her-a cold, calculating smile. "You have nothing to fear now, doll" he said in a cooing tone, relishing in the despair that fills the room. Steph remains silent her eyes betraying no emotion and just as the man was about to touch her face, the guard behind him collapses.

The man shocked and bewildered turn back to her, only to find himself unable to finish his sentence. Before he can react, Steph plunges a syringe into his neck, injecting him with a mysterious liquid. The man falls to the floor writhing in agony, his mouth frothing, stepping over him, she walks towards the unconscious guard, plucks the keys from his waistband and unlocks the bars.

Light footsteps descend the stairs. Alarmed we all stare at the entryway, only to see Vikram rushing towards us, confirming that it's truly him, we all breathe a sigh of relief. "We have to hurry up" he says in haste, quickly grabs onto my hand. I look behind me at Steph and she passes me a small smile. Unable to help myself, I reach out and grab onto her hand dragging her with me.

"Where is Jason?" I question Vikram anxiously.
"With Sid" he replies curtly.
We hurriedly ascend the stairs and run along the long hall. White, fluorescent lights flicker as Vikram turns right, I spot Jason carrying an unconscious Sid on his back, the sight makes bile lurch up my throat. Long, angry red lines, two inches wide, crisscross Sid's arms and legs, some breaking skin. Red trails down the side of his face, coloring the duct tape over his mouth.
Drip. Drip. Drip
