Chapter 4 - Falling For You

Alexander's room, shortly after his interaction with Ella .....

Alexander POV-

What's wrong with me! Why do I keep seeing images of myself with an unknown woman? First she was in my thoughts now I even see her in my dreams.

And the worst thing is I don't even know who she is because her face isn't clear, but I can tell she is not my wife. It's like I feel I'm so close to her but I'm still not with her.

That woman has completely wrecked my mind. I don't know what I want anymore. The wife I loved or this mystery girl who's all over my mind, my thoughts and my dreams.

I don't think I'll get any sleep tonight. I should probably check on Ella, I was way too harsh on her, I shouldn't have yelled at her especially in her condition.

Can't let anything happen to the baby, right?

I assured myself.

But that woman, ever since she has come I'm unable to feel anything for my wife anymore. What's wrong with me- on one hand I say I love my wife so much and on the other I think about Ella and now this mystery girl.

I still went to Ella anyway.

"Can't sleep?"

"No, your majesty" she replied.

I'd be lying if I said that it didn't hurt me when she chose to not address me by my name but a crap title instead. I can't even say anything to her as I didn't even acknowledge our first kiss.

"If you can't sleep then finish your story instead"

"You can't wait to get rid of me?" She asked with clear hurt in her voice.

Silence....

"It's OK. You don't have to say anything, I'm not worth your time anyway. I'll finish the story and get out of here as soon as possible"

"It's not like that Ella...I..."

She didn't let me finish and started her story....

" The magnificent King had now turned into a scary beast. Into a creature frightening to even look at , into someone with claws bigger than a knife, teeth sharper than axe and face deadlier than the devil himself. Someone had to love him in that state, truly! Knowing that it will take her life and he won't even remember her after that. And she did love him, she loved him more than she loved herself, she loved him enough to die for him, but there was one problem - she got pregnant! And she decided not to tell him and she died for him!"

"Is the beast in the story your husband, Ella?"

"Yes"

"I'm sorry..."

"Don't be"

"How did you survive then?"

"True love. True love conquers all."

"How could he do that to you even after you gave up on your life for him"

"It was the curse, he didn't have a choice"

"What was his name?"

"Alexander"
