When I got back to my room, I immediately rushed into the bathroom.

"It stinks so much, if I don't shower now, I'll be a walking piece of shit" I lamented.

Thinking back, it was true, I had run all the way to school, my clothes were already soaked with sweat since then. Not to mention the tense atmosphere that Aveline brought, it also made me sweat profusely, soaking my shirt.

In general, my whole body was definitely smelling terrible right now.

"Let's take a shower first"

Step out of the bathroom, I gently rubbed the towel to wipe off the drops of water on my hair. Then I used the hair dryer to help my hair dry faster.

But I didn't think it would be a big deal. After all, I was just an NPC, I was almost always free and had nothing to do. There was no need to be so strong. I wasn't the main character, so I didn't have to be busy with the plot, right? Sleeping a little more wouldn't hurt, it must be my constitution.

After drying my hair, I immediately threw myself onto the bed. My eyes stared blankly at the ceiling, my mind almost blank.

"This world isn't as bad as I thought..." I muttered, chuckling.

A world filled with dangers, that's for the main characters. Their job is to solve that mess.

And me? I'm just an NPC. My job is to be the background character and I'll be able to live a carefree life under their protection. Not bad, right?

Thinking about this for a bit, I started to fall into a midday dream again.

[The Next Day]

Yesterday would have been a great day if it weren't for Briar and Aveline. I had my first day at the best academy on the continent. When I got home, I had a good night's sleep and then continued to train my body after waking up. In the evening, I fell asleep again.

To me, such a life was no different from paradise.

My past life was pretty much the same, except I was always sick. I was too tired to do anything, so life was pretty dull. Now, with this healthy body, even simple things make me so happy.

"It's still early, I should do some warm-up"

In a good mood, I decided to go out and do some light exercise before going to class.

As soon as I reached the door, my feet stopped for a moment.

"I should set the time to return, to avoid the same situation as yesterday" I muttered with a twitching lip.

Then I touched my BracePhone and set the time to return.

"Okay, let's go"
