Chapter 13 Time fly... (2)

---I had a wonderful nap and woke up feeling completely rejuvenated. I got right back to my usual routine and everything went off without a hitch. Just another day in the books.
...
My day is simply eating, sleeping, resting, and a little exercise. Day after day passes very normally. Except for the first few difficult days at the academy. My life in Hollis repeats itself without any major obstacles. Very comfortable.
In that way, my study time at the continent's top academy, Vedast, passed very peacefully.
Day after day, I learned more knowledge about the world. I blended into the role of a background character in an extremely spectacular way.
I went out of my way to avoid interactions with the main characters, diminishing my own presence. I also kept my distance from side characters connected to the main storyline. As a result, I was gradually forgotten by those who had known me.
I avoided dangerous events involving the main characters whenever possible, and when I couldn't, I found ways to survive them. I managed to survive spectacularly while still maintaining a close enough distance to observe the growth of Karen's group.
I followed them to observe them for 3 years in Hollis without them knowing. Sometimes I wonder why I am so good. Everything went very smoothly.
After 3 years in Hollis in peace, I graduated with good grades and my rank reached E+, about to go up to D-. An achievement that was just enough to get out of Hollis.
After finishing my school years, I decided to leave behind the identity of Danz Grayson and join the intelligence organization of the underground world. I wanted to learn information gathering and stalking skills to make it easier to observe the Karen group.
After much effort, I became an anonymous intelligence collector. I silently searched for information about the main characters. With the help of the original novel in my memory, I knew most of their locations in the timelines. What I needed to do was to find a way to get close to them secretly whenever an event happened. Of course, in a position where I could observe while still being safe. If the event was too dangerous or in a place I couldn't go to, I would regretfully ignore it. If I lost my life, everything would end. If I wanted to do anything, I had to live first.
Because I didn't openly investigate and just relied on my memory, the way I got close to the main characters was usually very natural. The possibility of me being suspected of being a stalker was very low. Even if I was caught, nothing could be investigated, it could only be considered a coincidence.
Just like that, I spent the years of my life with the sole pleasure of witnessing the journey of the main characters with my own eyes...or rather, just a part of the journey. For the parts that I couldn't see directly, I would use all my abilities to gather information as a way to witness indirectly. It's just a pity that I'm not very talented in this field. But that didn't stop me from finding joy.
Everything was going well until one day, cracks began to appear in the sky. Mana began to flow into the world more and more, and the number of Awakeners also increased rapidly. All of humanity rejoiced at the growth of mana in the air.
But the joy didn't last long, news came from the Elves and Dwarves territories like lightning in a clear sky, dragging all of humanity from the peak of joy down to the abyss of despair.
"The Demon King is about to descend upon Elmanar"
Only then did humanity understand why the Elves and Dwarves left their home planet and sought another planet to live on. Since the Demon King wanted to absorb their planet, they had no choice but to choose to leave with their people. Standing up against the Demon King was the last choice.
And then an technical error happened when they tried to move their people to a new planet, leading to the formation of the current planet Elmanar. The planet of the Elves and Dwarves merged with the planet of humanity. Turning into a higher class planet.
It seems that the Demon King, after many years of searching for the cause of the disappearance of the planet of the Elves and Dwarves, discovered Elmanar. Then, recognizing the familiar aura, he angrily attacked Elmanar to absorb it.
Well... It's all just speculation, but I think it's somewhat accurate.
Since the day that announcement was made, all of humanity fell into chaos. The majority of humanity fell into despair and searched for a way to live, even if it cost a lot. The rest were determined to increase their strength and stand up against the Demon King, vowing to protect this planet.
Time passed, and what had to happen happened. The sky cracked open and the demon army began to descend. That day marked the Third Great Catastrophe.
The demon army left a trail of death and destruction, leaving behind scenes of unimaginable horror.
I myself was busy running away. Although I really wanted to continue observing the main characters, I had to worry about my life first. But unfortunately, I still didn't know what happened after the day the demon army descended... damn that app, if it showed the new chapter of the novel, I would at least know a little bit of what was going to happen.
I really wanted to observe the Karen group more. I believed they would eventually win, but being near them was dangerous, I had to worry about my life first.
---
Just like that, 3 years passed and the war gradually came to an end.
Somehow, I survived for 3 years - 3 years of nightmares of my life. I witnessed countless people fall while hiding, the extremely horrifying scenes haunted my mind forever. But I had to survive, I didn't want to die.
Today was the final battle between the Demon King and the representative of Elmanar - Karen's group. A battle that the whole world was looking forward to.
I don't know if I should say I'm lucky or unlucky because my current hiding spot is coincidentally very close to where the battle is taking place. From this position, I can perfectly observe the final battle. But at the same time, my chances of dying are extremely high. People call this "When elephants fight, it's the grass that suffers." I don't want to be caught in the crossfire.
But if I were to be exposed now, I would die at the hands of the demons' minions, the truth was so tantalizing.
In the end, I decided to stay still and pray.
Then the battle began, the scene shook my heart. The scene of the Karen faction attacking the Demon King together left a deep impression on me. I didn't know how much time had passed, but they continued to fight.
---
"Human, you are very strong. But... that's not enough to kill me."
The figure of a tall man with two big black horns on his head, long white hair, and blood-red eyes was standing proudly. In front of him was a black-haired woman with clear blue eyes kneeling on one knee, her body covered in injuries. Around her were the corpses of her comrades who she had fought through life and death with.
The girl stared at the man in front of her with eyes filled with hatred. If looks could kill, the white-haired man in front of her would have died countless times.
"Demon. King!". She gritted her teeth, trying to force out each word.
The two faced each other, time seemed to stop for them.
*Clank*
Suddenly, a sound came from not far away. The man with black horns frowned while the woman showed no emotion except hatred. But deep in her eyes, a small trace of worry appeared.
"Did a mouse slip through the net?"
"Never mind, enough playing around. Let me put an end to this planet." The man spoke. Then he raised his hand.
"Stoppp!-". The black-haired woman heard that, her face immediately twisted. Despair began to creep onto her beautiful face.
A snap of her fingers rang out. Before she could blink, a huge explosion occurred and everything around her was engulfed in flames.
