...
'Huh? I'm fine?' Livy opened her eyes and realized she was unharmed.
"Are you okay?"
A boy's deep voice rang out, drawing Livy's attention to him.
Livy saw the figure before her eyes, all the emotions she had suppressed burst out. Tears involuntarily welled up in the corners of her eyes. Her lips trembled as she exclaimed.
"Briar!"
---
"Which way should I go now?"
Briar was now faced with a very difficult decision, with three paths laid out before him.
He was very strong in battle as well as very smart and bright in studying. There was only one thing that gave him a huge headache: Hopeless at directions.
That's right, Briar was inherently directionally challenged. He was very bad at finding his way. And he was ridiculously bad.
A simple comparison to illustrate his level of being directionally challenged would be to think of a certain green-haired swordsman; Briar was just as bad as him.
He had always gotten lost when he was alone, but he was always lucky enough to arrive at the meeting point on time. This was proof that he had an unimaginably high luck stat.
Briar was not stupid; he knew he was lucky, so he was free to do what he liked. He was confident he would never be in life-threatening danger. In his daily life, he didn't prioritize finding his way, knowing other factors would help him reach his destination on time.
But the situation now was different, he did not dare to make a hasty choice. This kind of luck only affected himself and did not affect the people around him. What if he randomly chose a direction that was not dangerous for him, while one of the remaining paths was dangerous but he could meet Livy and Danz again. He couldn't control his luck.
Briar had been standing at this fork for more than 10 minutes now and he still couldn't make a decision.
While he was still lost in thought, one of the forks ahead made some very small sounds and a light wind blew.
'It's like someone is fighting in there.'
Briar's eyes lit up as that thought crossed his mind. He quickly pulled himself together and rushed into that fork.
He charged straight ahead without encountering any major obstacles. Perhaps what caught his attention was the large number of spider webs around.
Briar quickly urged his brain to work, searching through his knowledge of the spiders that could be encountered in the maze-like dungeon. He quickly narrowed down a few species and came up with a suitable fighting strategy.
It all looked complicated, but it hadn't even been a minute since Briar entered the fork. That showed how terrifying his fighting mindset was.
Gradually, the corridor that Briar was moving along began to show signs of battle. Briar's eyes lit up when he noticed a few arrows stuck in the ground and the corpses of a few Zico spiders. Everything was still very new.
Briar immediately accelerated when he knew who was facing these spiders. That person was none other than one of his two separated teammates - Livy Hadley.
Very quickly, a small figure with orange hair appeared in his sight. It was just that the situation was not good at all. Livy had lost the ability to fight because her hands and feet were bound by silk.
