Once they were all gathered in the meeting room, the atmosphere was thick with tension. Ada stood at the front, her arms crossed, her gaze steady as she looked over the team. Chris, Leon, Elouise, and the others were seated, all of them watching her closely. The room was silent except for the faint hum of the ventilation system.

After a few moments, Ada broke the silence, her voice cool and steady.

"After the mission in Spain," she began, her eyes scanning the room, "I made a move to redirect Amber, handing her over to the FBI." She paused, her expression tightening just slightly. "Wesker wasn't happy about that. He found out and since then, he's been hunting me, trying to bring me in."

Elouise frowned, her mind racing with the implications of what Ada was saying. What the fuck is a Amber ?

"But once you all freed Elouise, I was able to get back to work," Ada continued, her tone more resolute now. "I hacked into Wesker's plans, found his next move, and came directly to warn you. I need protection, and the BSAA is the only way to get it."

The team exchanged looks, the weight of Ada's words sinking in. Chris, ever the skeptic, didn't trust her, but he knew her information was valuable. He stood up, his expression stern as he addressed her directly.

"You'll have the protection," Chris said firmly, his eyes narrowing, "but you'll stay in the BSAA. No exceptions. And you're on restricted access. No going outside, no leaving the base unless we say so."

Ada didn't flinch, her expression unreadable. For a moment, she said nothing, the silence heavy in the room. Finally, she nodded slightly, her tone smooth and collected.

"I understand," she said. "I'll comply."

Chris wasn't done. He wasn't about to let his guard down just because she agreed. "You'll stay here, under watch. Prove your loyalty, and we'll consider your role in this team."

Ada gave a small, almost imperceptible smile. "Fair enough," she replied, a hint of amusement in her voice, though it didn't reach her eyes.

Elouise could feel the tension thickening again, but she wasn't entirely sure where Ada's true loyalties lay. Ada's cold demeanor and past actions made it hard for Elouise to fully trust her, but for now, she had to accept that they were all in this together.

Chris turned to the rest of the team, signaling that the meeting was over. "We'll keep an eye on her," he said, his voice final. "Everyone else, get ready. We've got a lot to prepare for."

As the meeting broke up, Elouise stayed seated for a moment, her mind still spinning. She glanced at Leon, but he seemed lost in his own thoughts, his face unreadable. Ada's presence had already shifted the dynamic within the team, and Elouise knew this wasn't over. There were still too many questions, too much at stake.

But for now, they would have to trust each other—at least for a little while longer.

I sat at my table, staring at my untouched food, which suddenly seemed utterly insignificant. My mind was racing with thoughts of Leon and Ada. Something about the situation in the cafeteria felt different. The way Ada had sat next to Leon, her body language—there was something about it that felt... off.

It wasn't that I didn't trust Ada or saw her as a threat. But there was this inexplicable feeling gnawing at me, a discomfort that I couldn't shake. I'd never been good at understanding my emotions, especially when it came to Leon. But something about their closeness made me uneasy, made me feel out of place.

I couldn't stand it anymore. Without thinking, I hacked into Leon's phone. The chip in my head allowed me to access his data, no device required. It was like having control over the sounds and words in Leon and Ada's vicinity. And what I heard made my stomach drop.
