Rhaella was beginning to feel content in her own new life in Winterfell. It was hard to adapt quickly, and she found it harder to interact with the Northerners around her, but the one person who made her feel acceptable was Sara Snow.

Rhaella would never have imagined herself in a company of a bastard on her own. She hates being friendly with the common-borns. It was a bad reputation to be in their company, to talk to them, to eat with them, and to befriend them. However, Sara made it feel natural, like she was not so bothered by the princess' presence in Winterfell, and it has been the sole reason why Rhaella accepted to be with her.

The Snow girl was hard to shake off. No matter what Rhaella says or does to insult the girl, Sara would absorb the words and actions with a smile on her face. She would not take it to her heart and get hurt. Sara was used to harsh treatment by Lady Gilliane. And she knew that the princess was alone, and feeling itchy to protect herself by the insults and angry words.

Sara Snow was a kind girl. That was something Rhaella hated admitting. The girl was a good companion in the morning. Their sessions started one day when the bastard knocked on Rhaella's doors and entered to greet the princess who was still half asleep on her warm bed. Sara told her that if she wishes to accompany the hunting party in a few days, she has—at least—to learn how to hold a bow and arrow. When Rhaella asked why, Sara answered that her brother will not bother himself with a member who cannot even hunt for a small animal.

Rhaella received the news with a roll of her eyes. The Lord was so proud that he did not say that to her face the other day while they were dinning together.

Rhaella walked with Sara that day, it was still very early in the morning and the princess was having difficulty in concentration. However, Rhaella was thrilled to stand before a rag which was hung on the wall with a circle of black color at the center of it. The target was clear before her eyes, yet Sara found the princess not knowing how to hold a bow and arrow.

"What do they teach princesses like you in King’s Landing?" The Bastard asked, with a well hidden smirk at the failing attempts of the princess in holding the bow.

"How to read, write, eat, talk, walk and treat the court in the royal proper way." Rhaella answered, keeping her eyes set on the girl before her. Sara made sure to slow her movements as she held the bow, and allowed the princess to take a deep look at her hands.

"Sounds boring." Sara said with no thoughts.

"I did not know women here were trained in archery, and the art of swords."

"We do not. And besides, I am not a high born lady, Princess. My station allowed me to do many things, Sansa —for example— cannot." Sara said and Rhaella nodded.
