(a/n: be ready for this😈😈)
The warm spring afternoon sun poured in through the tall windows of the venue, casting a soft glow over the guests and the ornate decorations. The air was filled with a sense of excitement and anticipation. Today was the day: Minju and Chaewon's wedding.
Yunjin stood by the entrance, her dress a flowing, deep emerald green that caught the light in a dazzling way. Beside her, Sakura was stunning in a soft lilac gown, their matching attire a testament to their roles as maid of honor for Chaewon. The two of them shared a quiet moment before the ceremony began, taking in the sight of the beautifully decorated hall—white roses lining the aisles, ribbons trailing across the pews, and a stunning floral arch at the altar.
"This is really happening," Yunjin whispered, adjusting the delicate lace on her dress, a smile tugging at her lips. "Can't believe it's finally their turn."
Sakura nodded, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "They've been through so much. This is so well-deserved."
As they spoke, they exchanged a brief glance—both of them remembering how far they'd come since high school. Their friendships had endured time, distance, and life's challenges. They had all grown together, and now they were here, supporting their best friends as they made a lifelong commitment.
Meanwhile, Minju was nervously adjusting her veil backstage, the white satin gown she wore hugging her frame in all the right ways. She glanced at the group of women gathered around her—Kazuha, Minji, and Hanni—all her closest friends, and all of them were radiating excitement, but also a hint of nerves.
"Are you sure you want to do this?" Hanni asked, a playful glint in her eyes. "I mean, you're not backing out, are you?" She winked, trying to ease Minju's nerves.
Minju rolled her eyes, laughing nervously. "Not at all. I just... I don't know, it's a huge step. I'm not sure I'm ready for all this attention."
Kazuha, who stood nearby fixing her own dress, chuckled and placed a hand on Minju's shoulder. "Minju, you've been ready for this since the day Chaewon first kissed you. You've built this life together, and today is the celebration of that. You've got this."
Minji, standing a little further off, adjusted her own dress and smiled, her usual quiet demeanor giving way to warmth. "You look stunning, Minju. Don't worry. Chaewon is going to fall even more in love with you today."
The bond between these women was unshakable, and now, it was their turn to support Minju as she took this important step forward with the love of her life.
The ceremony was a beautiful blur. The soft, melodic tones of a string quartet filled the air as the guests took their seats. Yunjin and Sakura, standing proudly at the front with their respective partners, beamed with happiness as the bride and, well.. bride made their way down the aisle.
Chaewon, looking breathtaking in her ivory wedding gown, had never looked more radiant. Her eyes shone with tears of joy as she locked eyes with Minju, who was stepping toward her in her own elegant gown, a soft smile on her lips. The two of them walked toward the altar, their hearts beating in sync.
Yunjin caught a glimpse of Kazuha in the crowd, her eyes full of pride. She felt an overwhelming surge of happiness for her friends, and for the family they had all become.
When Minju and Chaewon reached the altar, Yunjin couldn't help but feel a wave of emotion. This was it—the moment they had all been waiting for. The vows, the promises, the start of a new chapter.
The reception that followed was just as magical. The laughter and joy of the day carried on well into the night, as everyone danced and celebrated.
Yunjin, along with Kazuha, Sakura, and the others, couldn't help but take a moment to reflect on how far they'd come. As Yunjin watched Minju and Chaewon take the dance floor, her heart swelled with pride for the love that had flourished between them.
After a few dances, Yunjin grabbed Kazuha's hand, pulling her gently toward the side. "Wanna step outside for a second?" Yunjin asked, her voice quiet but filled with love.
Kazuha nodded, the two of them stepping outside into the cool night air. They stood side by side, gazing out at the stars, the sound of music faint in the background.
Kazuha turned to Yunjin, her eyes soft. "I can't believe how beautiful this is. Minju and Chaewon look so happy. I'm really glad we were a part of this."
Yunjin smiled, wrapping her arm around Kazuha's waist. "Yeah, me too. We've all been through so much. It feels like everything's falling into place."
Kazuha rested her head on Yunjin's shoulder. "It is. I can't wait for our own special day," she murmured.
Yunjin's heart skipped a beat. "Our own special day?"
Kazuha looked up, her face softening as she smiled. "Yeah, you know... When we finally take that step, too."
Yunjin grinned, her eyes sparkling with emotion. "I think I can't wait for that either."
The two of them stood there in the quiet, holding each other, knowing that the journey ahead, just like the one they'd already been on, would be filled with love, laughter, and countless memories.
As the night came to a close, the group of friends gathered together once more. Minju and Chaewon, hand in hand, were radiant, their eyes never leaving each other. Their love was undeniable, and the commitment they had made was one that would carry them through every challenge life threw their way.
And as the group stood together, celebrating another milestone in their journey, Yunjin and Kazuha knew that, no matter what, they would always have each other.
