After the final whistle blew, the Arsenal players gathered in the locker room, still buzzing from their 3-0 victory. Renee stood at the front, a proud smile on her face as she addressed the team.

"Great job, everyone," Renee began, her voice carrying across the room. "That was a solid performance from start to finish, and I’m really proud of how we played. Three points is what we came for, and three points is what we got."

The players nodded and clapped, their exhaustion replaced by satisfaction. Renee’s gaze turned to Yn, who was sitting on the bench, quietly chatting with Summer’s family.

"I’d also like to say a special congratulations to Yn," Renee continued, her eyes scanning the room. "She’s just received her first call-up to the England squad, and that’s an incredible achievement. Well done, Yn."

The room erupted into applause, and Yn felt a rush of warmth spread through her. She stood up, waving at her teammates with a grateful smile. It felt surreal hearing Renee speak about her in that way, but it was a moment she would never forget.

"Thank you, everyone," Yn said, her voice filled with emotion. "I’m just so grateful for the opportunity."

Renee smiled at her. "You’ve earned it, Yn. Now, I want everyone to enjoy the international break, stay fit, and come back ready for another strong push. Keep doing what you’re doing."

The team nodded in agreement, ready to enjoy a well-deserved break after a successful game. With their spirits high, they headed out to the coach parked outside, ready to head back to London.

Yn, however, stayed behind for a moment. She walked up to Renee, who was gathering her things.

"Renee," Yn began, her voice a little hesitant. "I was wondering if it would be alright for me to travel back separately today. I’d like to travel with Summer and her family, if that’s okay?"

Renee raised an eyebrow but smiled. "Of course, Yn. I understand, you’ve got family and other commitments. I hope you enjoy your time with them, and good luck with the international games."

"Thank you so much," Yn said, her heart lifting. "I really appreciate it."

"Take care of yourself, and we’ll see you soon," Renee added with a nod.

Yn smiled and walked out of the dressing room, feeling a sense of relief. She spotted Summer outside the stadium, talking to her family. Yn’s heart skipped a beat as she approached.

"Hey, Summer," Yn said, grinning.

Summer turned around, smiling when she saw Yn. "Hey! How’s the ankle? Everything okay?"

"It’s good, just a bit sore," Yn replied with a shrug. "But listen... I’ve got a surprise for you."

Summer raised an eyebrow. "A surprise? What is it?"

Yn’s grin widened. "I’m actually going to travel back with you and your family, instead of on the coach."

Summer’s eyes widened in surprise. "Really? That’s awesome!"

Yn nodded. "Yeah, I just talked to Renee, and she’s fine with it. I thought it’d be nice to spend the journey back with you."

Summer smiled brightly. "I’m so glad! It’s going to be so much fun. We can just relax and chat."

Together, they walked to the train station, Summer’s family already there waiting. They boarded the train to London, finding their seats together and settling in for the journey. The train ride was peaceful, with the hum of the tracks providing a soothing backdrop to their conversation.

After a few hours, they finally arrived back in London. They made their way to their apartment, both feeling the exhaustion of the long day.

Yn dropped her bag on the couch and flopped down beside Summer. "I’m so tired," Yn admitted with a yawn. "It’s been a long but amazing day."

Summer chuckled and leaned back against the cushions. "Tell me about it. But it was definitely worth it. You played brilliantly, and now you’ve got your international call-up."

Yn smiled, feeling content. "Yeah, it feels unreal. But now... I think I could just sleep for a hundred years."

Summer laughed softly. "Same here. Let’s just rest for a bit."

Before long, both of them had drifted off to sleep, curled up together on the sofa. The apartment was quiet, the weight of the day finally catching up with them. As they slept, they were content in each other’s presence, knowing that no matter what the future held, they would always have each other.
