** LOCATION : E.T. RESEARCH AND TESTING FACILITY, NEVADA.**
After the events that happened at Area 51 a few months back, the American government created the E.T.R.T.F, or the Extra Terrestrial research and testing facility only a few miles away from the abandoned Area 51, so that scientists could continue their research in a place that absolutely no one knew of. All names of scientists who are part of any testing's name are kept hidden, and to the public they're known as dead.
Scientist Joan Brunis is the head of incoming and outcoming information. She controls what the people know, and what they don't. She's been working in sciences for thirty years, so the majority of chemical analysis and testing go-abouts are burned into her brain.
About twelve hours prior to her shift, an anonymous email was sent to her containing one video file. As she watched it, it showed some monstrous creature going between rooftops and stopping above an apartment building. The camera zooms in to identify the host.
Charlie Kits.
Five foot three caucasian female with black hair just above her shoulders, freckles, and brown eyes. Born on January tenth, 2003. She's been through the foster care system enough times that there was a two page list of all the different people who have been logged as her parent or guardian.
Joan played the video back several times, trying to find a visual of the Symbiotes face to compare between the other visuals. She found a few frames where the creature fully faced the unknown camera. It almost looked like the being had seen the camera.
Joan downloaded the video and forwarded the email to a backchecker to see where it came from. Joan herself even looked over it and couldn't find a sender ID or an IP address of the sender. It was completely anonymous
"Good evening, Joan. Still working?" A security guard walked into the multi-office sector expecting it to be empty, but Joan was in late.
"Yeah, I was sent an email with a video file. No sender ID. Sent it to the backcheckers to see if they could figure it out. That's not my area of expertise." She admitted. The man nodded. "It'll be here in the morning, so it's best if you get rest. Curfew is not too far out."
"Right. Thank you." She shut down her computer for life and collected her things.
The E.T.R.T.F. is separated into multiple wards to maintain organisation and simplicity. When scientists are given the opportunity to work for the facility, they're sworn into secrecy, and told to be dead. They remain in the facility in somewhat isolation, permanently.-
The following morning, Joan received a follow up from the backcheckers who had found an IP address from somewhere in San Francisco. Joan wasn't part of the mission crew(Who goes to find any paranormal and extraterrestrial claims to get rid of them) so she couldn't do much but forward all the information to the higher ups.
It took two hours more for her to be updated again, and was told to go meet with the general to discuss what to do next. She found her way fairly quickly and sat down on the opposing side from the general.
"Why hello there to our very own Joan of Arc." The general put his hand out to shake his with Joans. She smiled.
"Hello, sir." She said simply. "You wanted to see me?"
"I did, I do. Joan, you were sent a very informative email from somewhere in San Francisco, correct?" He questioned, to which Joan nodded.
"I was, just before I left the intake ward yesterday evening. Showed a being similar to the logged Symbiotes from a few months ago. Seems like we missed one, or even more." She filled him in on how the host was Charlie Kits, and how the Symbiote was never logged anywhere(Unlike Venom, or any Symbiotes in the former Area 51 lab.)
The general kept notes on what Joan was speaking about, and after she finished she allowed him to speak.
"Well clearly you're very educated on how Symbiotes work." He cleared his throat, though it sounded more like a sick cough. He didn't look ill, but he sounded the part.
"I have been researching this subject for as long as I could." She admitted. The general smiled. He took several files out of his desk, he evened them out and pushed them over to her.
"Well, Joan of Arc, how would you feel about directing your own crew to find and collect this Symbiote? Since you know much more than many of our commanding officers with the qualifications needed." He watched as Joan looked through profiles of qualified extraction soldiers that would be on her team if she agreed.
"I'd be honoured, sir. I'm sure I'll be able to complete this." She stopped on one of the files that listed her son, Teddy Brunis. Teddy had been set on the military since he was seven, and when he walked in on his mother discovering she was given the chance to research science for a hidden organisation three months ago, he was later given the opportunity as well.
Although Joan and her son don't work in the same unit, they do get to see each other every so often. She misses her son, especially since he reminds her of her late husband.
"I see you found that Teddy would be working with you. If you'd rather him not, we can switch-"
Joan cut him off. "No, let Teddy do this." Joan stood up and nodded to the general. She picked up the files and began to leave before she stopped. "When do we leave?" She faced the general.
"Tonight we leave. Prepare yourself."-
** SAN FRANCISCO **
"No one's home." Neurov directed Charlie and forced open the lock of Eddie's apartment. They wanted to find anything to lure him to them. So that Neurov could get rid of Venom once and for all. Eddie already wanted to protect Charlie, she saw the way he looked at her like the daughter he could never have. And Neurov wanted to use that to his advantage.
Charlie walked into the apartment. It was lit by the moonlight through the windows and it made her wonder where Eddie could be this late at night.
Charlie still had problems with her hearing, so she was relying on Neurov and her visuals. But since she couldn't hear her surroundings, that made it a thousand times harder to hear Eddie in the doorway. But Neurov could.
Neurov took physical form over Charlie, Venom didn't with Eddie. Venom's arm shot out to grab the opposing two, but comparing a full form Symbiote to a human with a parasite, they'd never win.
Neurov shattered the apartment window, and he slightly hung out. What diverted his attention was the sound of a helicopter up above. And then red scope lights from sniper rifles rained down on him.
And shots fired, and soon after high frequency sounds rang through the air.
