Charlie bolted. She was gone down the halls faster than Eddie could catch up. She swerved through people and pushed past doctors. She felt energised beyond what she had felt before. She was feverish for the past week, and it was like it had gone out of nowhere. She couldn't hear anything, she was going off of the directions of Neurov and hoping that she wouldn't run into any of the three people she was running from.
"Stairs, Charlie. I will go from there." His voice sounded distorted in her mind. She faced the stairs and ran up them as fast as she could. She almost tripped several times, but she managed to reach the last step before something changed drastically.
Before when she was the host for multiple different Symbiotes, they contradicted each other so much that it prevented either of them from taking full physical form. So Charlie never actually experienced being used as a vessel entirely.
Neurov surrounded her. She could see, but not through her own eyes. She could feel it as his veins pulsated. She watched through his eyes as he smashed through a door and onto a rooftop.
"Neurov, what are you doing?" Her voice was an echo inside what was now Neurov's body. He didn't answer. She didn't have control as he jumped between rooftops, tearing bricks from buildings without care for anything.
Neurov perched them on a small building near Eddie's apartment and let himself dissolve back into Charlie. She sat down and caught her breath, even if she wasn't the one doing the work. After a few minutes Neurov returned, his head circled around her and faced her.
"Protecting you from Venom. He is dangerous." The Symbiote claimed. Charlie didn't know what to do but believe him.-
After losing Charlie, Eddie went home. The same hunger and the same cold filled him once more. It felt familiar but not in a good way. His head was occupied, and for some reason it was beyond uncomfortable.
The only feeling that he could feel with certainty was pain on his left hand. Twenty minutes after he reconnected with Venom, the Symbiotes tentacle-like arm has been painfully tight around the placeholder ring he wore. He could feel Venom's anger towards the idea of Eddie with someone else.
"I'm not fucking married you parasite." Eddie grumbled as he tried to pull off Venom's grasp, but nothing worked. "Stop being ignorant and speak to me, buddy." Eddie sighed and sat on the couch. He had to take it all in, just seeing Venom again, with him, it didn't matter if it was temporary but he was with him again.
He put his hand on the Symbiotes' in an attempt to calm it. Instead it reached out a second arm and wrapped it around Eddie's wrist tightly. As much as he tried to pull away, the Symbiote wouldn't budge.
"Venom, buddy, just listen for two seconds." He started. Venom eased up slightly, as he did, a slight physical form began to appear. It's been months since Eddie has seen Venom face to face. Sure he saw him with Charlie, but not all of him. Venom didn't speak, he only assessed him.
"Hey buddy, it's been a while hasn't it?" He hesitantly smiled. Once again, Venom didn't say anything. Except, the Symbiote moved closer and nuzzled its head against Eddie's neck, like his own way of giving him a hug. Eddie patted the back of its head and laughed slightly. "There you go, I'm here you damn parasite."
Venom made a sound in response, and Eddie took that as his way of appreciating his company.
"Eddie, we can rest. Neurov won't kill Charlie, but he'll do damage." Venom spoke up finally. "I will mend your injuries in the meantime."
Eddie nodded, he wanted to listen but he wanted to savour the time he had with his counterpart. He lifted the hand with the ring and watched as the Symbiote took it off his finger and created a ring of his own, made out of Venom himself. Eddie snorted a laugh.
"Not only will people leave me alone but they'll be petrified by seeing a pulsating ring." Eddie said and examined his new jewellery. "Is this your way of proposing to me? No one else liked you?" He pushed on with more humour.
"No one liked you enough, I am saving you from humiliation, Eddie."
"You're brutal." He looked at the fridge. "Grab me a drink and then I'll forgive you." Venom compiled, which allowed Eddie to drown himself in several drinks before passing out on the couch.
Venom sent an arm into his bedroom and retrieved a blanket to keep his counterpart warm. Hunger began to settle back into the Symbiote.
