Luke's POV
There she was.. Sitting all alone. That girl was different than everyone else. She wasn't outgoing unfortunately but she seemed like a nice person.
Her long blonde hair cascaded down her back in loose waves. I only know her because my parents are close friends with her mum and dad.
They had hoped that I would get along with her brother, Alex. They are twins and the same age as me. From the first time we met Alex hated me.
There was no possibility of me getting close to his sister because he would keep her away from me. Now she knows me as Luke Hemmings the creep.
I don't know why Alex hates me as he never gave me an actual reason. Being a 10 year old you're not supposed to care what people think but for some reason that is all I care about.
I hope that one day I finally get too meet April properly, I would love too get to know her better.
My name was being called by my Maths teacher which brought me out of my thoughts. My face turned red as I had come to the conclusion that I had been staring at the blonde girl for a while and completely zoned out of the lesson.
The whole class had turned around and their amused stares were all locked on me. I awkwardly smiled and looked down at my desk and finished the problem that I was halfway through before I zoned out.
My head tilted slightly and April came into sight once more. She was smiling and I noticed that she had braces. How was I so oblivious? How didn't I notice? She still looked perfect.. well to me.
I smiled and quickly diverted my gaze and hoped that she would forget that I was staring at her for a good 10 minutes.
