Keeping his promise.

2 months later...

I'm sooooo scared. What if they don't like me??

What if his mother doesn't like me? Ugh, I'm overthinking too much. Let's just get this over with.

"You're overthinking. Chill out," Kenma muttered, as he reached over and playfully hit your shoulder.

You frowned and gave him a slight shove. "No I wasn't... How did you know?"

Kenma smirked slightly, covering his mouth to hide his amusement. "Because every time you make that face, you look constipated. It's obvious." He shrugged casually, eyes glinting with mischief.

You narrowed your eyes at him, feeling a little embarrassed. "I do not look constipated," you muttered, rolling your eyes, then lightly hitting him on the arm.

"Yeah, you do." He grinned, and as he opened his mouth to tease you further, you playfully shoved him again, causing him to stumble just as you neared the front door.

Suddenly, the door swung open, and you and Kenma both snapped to attention, pretending to act normal.

"You two look like idiots," came Kuroo's voice, laced with amusement as he leaned against the doorframe, a teasing smirk tugging at his lips.

Kenma shot him a playful glare. "Shut up," he muttered,

You rolled your eyes dramatically, smirking at the exchange, then walked over to Kuroo, giving him a warm hug. He immediately wrapped his arms around you, pulling you close.

"Heyyy, my pretty girl," Kuroo purred, his voice smooth and affectionate as he squeezed you tighter.

You smiled up at him, your nerves starting to settle as you nestled into his embrace. "Where are they?" you asked softly, glancing around as you almost brushed past him to step inside.

Kenma couldn't help but snicker as he watched Kuroo stumble back slightly, clearly caught off guard by your closeness.

Inside, the house had the welcoming scent of home-cooked food and the comfortable warmth of a family gathering. You could hear soft chatter coming from another room, the sound of people moving around. As you stepped further inside, a woman's voice called out to you, filled with genuine warmth.

"There's my favorite girl!" Kuroo's mother appeared in the hallway, her arms open wide, her smile lighting up the room. She was an amazing woman with a presence that made you feel instantly at ease.
