Episode 7

Ling Pov

I leaned my back on the couch in my living room. Thank god Sonya was having a sleepover at her friend's house. 

I close my eyes and relax my body but Lookmhee's words echo in my head.

'Chaeyoung likes me' A smile reached my lips. Something flashed in my head my mom's words... that smile faded away when I remembered my mom's bloody face and her words. 

It's hit me like a stone.

FLASHBACK

I was roaming around the street after buying the groceries my mom said, mom and dad were out for some meeting, and Sonya was at one of her friend's home for a birthday party. 

I was about to cross the road when I noticed some people standing on the street side and mumbling something. 

Curiosity drags me to the group. I see some blood and glass pieces on the road and footpath maybe someone got into an accident.

I stopped my truck afraid of blood and I was about to change my route but some familiar car caught my eye.

I felt like someone poured cold water on my head, I froze like a statue, my knees felt weak and I thought I was gonna faint when I snapped out of the thoughts, I dropped the grocery bag on the floor and dragged my feet towards the crowd I push them away and reach the front. 

When I saw my parents lying on the road full of blood, I felt like my world was going down i moved closer to them. Someone tried to stop me but I didn't stop. 

I kneeled in front of my dad, he was sleeping peacefully full of blood I cupped his cheeks and shook it. 

"Dad... wake up... Please." My words were like a whisper.

"Dad please, you can't leave us alone...Please open your eyes and say something." I can feel my tears flowing down but he didn't wake up, I hear someone mumbling. I turn towards my mom. 

"Li...ng" I see my mom's hand try to reach me. I move closer to her and take her head on my lap, she's coughing blood. 

I can't see that. I closed my eyes and cried aloud.

"Someone please call the ambulance" I yelled to the people. 

"Li..ng..my ba..by" She touched my cheek with her right hand that's now stained with her blood but I don't fucking care. 

"Ba..by please tak..e care of ou..r littlebaby." She chuckled and groaned in pain. 

I nodded

"Welo..veyou andSon..ya, youkn..ow that ri..ght?" I nodded and my tears fell on her face.

"Ca..nyou do afavour fo.. rus. please?"

"I will do everything you say mom, please d.. don't leave us. We don't have anyone aside from you. Please be with us." I said quickly afraid of her leaving me like dad. 

She pulls down my face and gives me a long kiss on my forehead. 

"Yo...u kno...w your dad wa..nts you t..o be a doc.. tor. I kno..w you ar..e afraidof blo..od but can yo..u plea.se."

"Ofcause, I promise mom where ever life takes me, I'm going to fulfill Dad's dream. One day I will be Dr. Sirilak Kwong." I cried and cared her cheek.

She smiled.

"And one more thing L..ing., we pro..mised our friend, yo..u wi.ll marry hi.sdaug..hter." I frowned. 

"That's ou..r onl.y wis..h bab..y." I sense her hesitation. I kiss her forehead and wipe her tears.
