You keep trying to force our stars to be aligned,
please stop...you can't bring back what has already died.
As much as you seem to hold my heart, it's astronomy, we're two words apart."Distance brings fondness." Said the lier you,
And now, face to face, you're a stranger I once knew.
Yet you still keep trying to force our stars to be aligned .Remember that day we drove through a rich neighbourhood?
We joked and laughed saying for us it's too good.
As much as you seem to hold my heart, it's astronomy, we're two words apart.Every places you once kissed, every time you made me see the stars,
Has now become a blue memory, there's nothing left but scars.
You keep trying to force our stars to be alignedWe've traveled every seas, we've ridden the stars,
We've seen everything from Saturn to Mars
As much as you seem to hold my heart, it's astronomy, we're two words apart.Stop trying to keep us alive
You're pointing at stars in the sky that had already depart
You keep trying to force our stars to align,
As much as you seem to hold my heart, it's astronomy,we're two words apart.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~This poem is inspired by "Astronomy" by Conan Grey, I just gave it the form of a villanelle but these beautiful words are by Conan I just added a few of mine.
—————————————————————————————————————————————————As you can see I improvised in the rhyme scheme making it aab instead of aba and abab instead of aaba, I apologise for it. I'm not sure if it can be named as a villanelle anymore but in my defence, "Art is free!"
