Chapter 6 - I Like Teasing You

After checking Rosie's pulse and breathing, I called nurse Selene to check up on her just to make sure she was ok. I felt my wolf stirring. I knew he wanted to rip my head apart for what I did to Rosie.

As Selene checked Rosie, my mom and my sister came in gasping when they saw Rosie.
"Is she ok?" My mom asked.

"She seems to be but she's emotionally tired out. You need to make sure she doesn't feel any negative emotion, it could start having a huge effect on her health. Especially since her pregnancy hormones are raging. Zander, you need to be there for her the most. Right now, you're the only one who can make her feel better." Nurse Selene replied back. I nodded my head in response. It was more like, I was the one making her feel worse and worse.

"Also, get her checked out by a doctor and maybe have her see a psychologist. She could really benefit from one. Oh and never leave her alone. She needs all the company and support she can get." Selene said and we all nodded our heads in response. "Oh and Zander, don't forget to come in for your checkup. We need to see if the damage that the silver caused your brain is healing or not. And see what else we can do to help you remember." After that she checked Rosie once more and left. Leaving me with my mom and Layla and an unconscious Rosie.

"You're the biggest asshole I have ever met! I honestly feel ashamed to even call you my brother!" Layla yelled at me before she sat on the bed beside Rosie.

"I am very disappointed in you Zander. Very disappointed. I don't understand how you could do that to your own mate. Even I feel ashamed in calling you my son." She quietly said making my eyes widen.

"But mom listen-"

"No you listen Zander!" She yelled all of a sudden causing both Layla and I to flinch. She's never yelled at either of us before so it was really shocking. "She is your mate! It doesn't matter that you don't love her right now or don't remember her or that she's human. Either way, she is your mate! And you're supposed to take care of your mate! Not emotionally break her down. Especially if she's pregnant with your child! And once she wakes up, you will try to remember everything for her. You will let her tell you all the things you have forgotten. You will try to get to know her. And most importantly you will make sure she's completely ok throughout this pregnancy and be really nice and caring towards her. If I find out you do anything but that, or if something happens to Rosie during this pregnancy, Layla, Sebastian and I will never talk to you ever again!"

"Mom! You can't just do that!" I exclaimed in horror at the thought.

"Actually asshole, we can." Layla retorted back with an angry look on her face. "In fact, I'm not talking to you until you love Rosie again."

"But what if I never do?" I exclaimed. She couldn't be serious right now.

"Well guess your not my brother then." She said before she stormed out of my room. My mom glared at me before leaving as well.

I let out many curses in anger before my gaze landed on Rosie. I wanted to be so angry at her for driving a wedge between me and my family but I couldn't, especially not when she was in the state she was in. I sighed as I contemplated the mess I was in. My mom was right. She was my mate, whether or not she was human or if I loved her or not. And I'll only ever get one mate my entire life. I had to at least try and love her. I mean, I did love her once, didn't I? So why couldn't I do it again?

I went and sat down beside her. I gently started stroking her hair, hoping she'd wake up soon. I needed to say something to her. I needed to say something that would make up for how I yelled at her and told her I hated her. I had no idea what I was going to say but I knew I had to say something.
