Ayla's Pov

What a dream - someone pinch me right now.

That's how I felt. This feeling was too good to be true. Just the other day, we were barely talking, and now our hands were intertwined with each other. I wasn't even paying attention to anything he was saying. Him just being here put me at ease. Especially with the break that happened, he was still my safety net.

I already called my manager, and she encouraged I took rest of the week off.  I don't know how she'll feel seeing me flaunting around town with my man, but that's a bridge I'd cross when we got there.

He still hadn't told me where we were heading. It seemed pretty far if we were still walking around.
We got a lot of stares from people, but nobody dared to speak to us. Better experience than the one I had with Diamond.

"Baby."
"Mhm." He responded, glancing in my direction before looking ahead. "You still haven't told me where we're going. We've been walking for ages." He chuckled, "We're almost there. Rest assured, it will be all worth it." I sighed. That was basically his response the entire time I'd asked. I was giving up and losing hope til we reached a park nearby.
"I thought we were going out for breakfast."
"Patience, my love."

He led the way, clearing all the branches away til we reached a place far hidden from people. On the ground, every breakfast item lay before me on top of a red checkered picnic blanket. It smelled like a bakery with all the freshness coming from what seemed like croissant or baguette. I couldn't tell.

I froze and cupped my face, admiring all the time and effort. There laid a bouquet of my favorite flowers, Gardenias. In my favorite color.
"How did you know I loved these flowers?" I picked them up and stared deeply into them. "A little friend of yours gave me some help."

Ugh, if I didn't love this man before, I sure did now. I hadn't realized I was crying til an overflow came down.
"This is so beautiful." I said breathlessly. He came from behind, holding my waist. "Only the best for my girlfriend." He planted a kiss on my forehead before leading me towards the rest of what was there.

I didn't realise that from here we had the perfect view of the mountains up front. It was a perfect way to start the day.

They'd always told me how beautiful nature was, that all you needed to do was to look deeper from within, and you'll see how cohesive and uniform it actually is.
How each thing flowed into each other. I didn't realize it til now. The birds flew in a lazily pattern above and the breezy warm air flowing, making a melody one can only hear if they listened clearly.
"You didn't have to do all this." He chuckled before sitting at where all the pillows were laid down for balance and support. I followed in pursuit.

"All this looks too good. I don't know where to start."
"I suggest taking your favorite vanilla cappuccino."
"You didn't." I gasped. All my favorite things wrapped into one. "You're going to make me cry." He chuckled before handing me the cup. I drank a sip, and it instantly took me to heaven. The richness of the cream and foamy milk lingered in my mouth. It was the perfect balance of earthy coffee and sweet vanilla. Just the way I like it.

"You know you're probably the only guy who has treated me like this."
"Good. Nobody can outdo me now." I laughed. Everything was always a competition to him. "No, but really. I'd always been too ugly to be loved right. This is an ethereal expirence, I must say."
"You're not ugly. You're far from that, you know that." I shook my head, disagreeing with what he said. He looked offended. I just had to laugh again.

"There's almost eight billion people roaming this earth, but you are the only who's caught my attention. I don't know why you doubt how beautiful you are. Beautiful doesn't even do you justice. You're an angel sent from heaven. If nobody else can see how perfect you are, I'll keep you all to myself. It's better that way because I won't have to resort to violence if a guy likes you."
"Is that so, Mr. Knight?" He nodded before placing a green grape in his mouth. We stayed like that for hours but in my mind it was only mere minutes.
