Amir's Pov

"What do you want, Rose?"
"Hush." She whispered, trailing her fingers along my arm. I looked to the side to see an amused Trey staring right back at me.

"I'm so happy you decided to work with me, baby. Remember the good times. You and I conquered the world." She dropped her fingers away, closing the space between us til we were so close I could practically hear her thoughts.

"Stop this." I said, pushing her back.
"I met Ayla the other day." My heart dropped, "What the fuck are you doing?! Leave her out of this." My voice moved an octave higher than before. She giggled, I turned to see Trey who'd also been shocked at that revelation.

"It's a power play, baby, just so you know who's actually in charge over here. Now let's get to the real reason why we're here, shall we?" She edged for me to take a seat on the stool she had brought out. Sucking in my pride I sat down.

The room was dark. The only source of light was the dimly lit lamp on the side of the table opposite from where I was seated. Trey sat down, more closer to the door as if he was on guard. Those dirt black eyes staring back at me. Challenging me in a way.

"Focus here, baby. He's not your enemy." She walked around me, placing a hand on my shoulders.
"I've been really patient with you. I'd done everything for you and for some reason you just can't see that. It's actually sad and breaks my heart." She laughed loudly, her voice echoing through these dark walls.

"I just want you back. And when Trey reached out, I took it as an opportunity. An opportunity to win you back. You can stop putting up a front. I know about the bet, and I must say you're really creative. It's one of the many reasons I love you so so much. You've already proved your point, I'm sure no harm will be done if you leave her. It's not like you love her."

I bit back a response. Although her last words were far from the truth, I didn't want to trigger her.
"Why are you so quiet, big man?" Trey asked, his eyes staring straight at me. "You won. You'll remain captain at the end of the day. Just hand her over to me."

"Hand her over..."

My heart raced. He's talking about her like she was some object instead of a normal human being. It took every last fiber in my body to stop me from flinging this chair and charging at him.

"She's not an object that I can hand over you idiot."

"Ugh, enough talk about her. I don't understand what you both are bickering about. She's not even all that."
She pulled a stool in front of me and took her seat, her eyes never leaving mine.
"I'm giving you options because you'll always have a choice, right." She pulled a sheet of paper and pen, "I made a promise to you. That I'd come back for what was mine. You are mine, and nobody is going to change that. Not even your little whore."
"Don't fucking call her that." I shouted, finally tired of her remarks.
"Oh." She grinned. It was so dark and evil it almost made me want to apologize for standing up to her. Almost.

"I don't fucking want you. I've told you that how many times. How desperate do you need to be to stoop to such lengths to get me. You can get so many people but you're so hung up over me. We weren't even in a proper relationship. It was just for show. Like you said earlier, a fucking power play."

I didn't realise how angry she got til her fingers went slamming into my face. I was too stunned and shocked to even register the pain I was supposed to feel.
"Was that supposed to help me love you? If that's the case, you'll have to try fucking harder sweetheart."
